Well starting this thread on the OBX Long tube Headers . So far all we have is a video and actually just got around on installing the 02 Extensions . AL is getting his SRT Max CAM installed as we speak and by next week we'll have some track results with the set up .

The headers comes with Gasket witch i don't recommend using ( PLEASE USE THE STOCK ONES ) and does not come with 02 extensions . So Total cost was $525 + $65 Shipping + 02 Extensions from Jegs dot com at $60 shipped for two extensions + Install witch depends on what rates you get , by what we saw , the install was plain and simple with no fitting issue and the finish on the pipes are great . Very similar shape as my KOOKS L /T believe it or not . I'll try keeping everyone posted here as time goes by . So far it looks like it is worth buying for those considering headers and don't want to Pay the high cost of the Kooks or SW .

Yeah bro , I was actually impressed by how it looked and sounded , as how it feels pulling we'll see tomorrow after AL gets it back .

Sounds no different than my Car with Kooks .

Ok so I just looked at something. These do NOT come with cats like the Kooks/ARH.

I'm assuming these are gonna make any ride loud as F)*$! I'll have to purchase some highflow cats and have to add that to the price. What does a good set of cats go for now?

I don't want my car stinking like crazy since its a daily.
Yup , I stated that on one of the pictures , But the sound is not crazy loud , My Car with Koosk is slightly louder but i think is because of the CAM i have . and like Jose said $200 will buy you a set of good high flow Cats .

Al's Jeep sounds pretty good Paul. So basically you can have these headers with Hi flow cats for a total of about $850 shipped to your door. Seems like a good deal to me.

Looks like that way Matt , but if you're looking at Highflow cats as well , i would spend the extra coin witch is a couple hundred extra and get the SW IMO . It sounds great the way it is and actually have resonators in place of the cats to buff the sound a bit .

Well we'll find out today as the 02 sensors were disconnected . They should tho just like and L /T Headers .

Yes Borla S , and that was Chris our installer , not AL :D

Sounds good, very nice for the price.

I wonder why they are so much cheaper......either the other companys have crazy mark up or there is something obx cheaped out on.

NP Bud , I'll test the JEEP Tonight and see how it runs . Before my track runs i ran some similar numbers at this strip with my Gtech , so I'll be doing the same with AL's jeep to see what Numbers he can put out with that set up . I'll keep everyone posted .

hahahaahah you aint kidding , I actually ran a couple of 12.39@109 at this stretch i run , so I'll be taking his tonight up there and log a couple runs , I've been using the Gtech long enough to know how far off is it from the track actually , I knew i had 12.3's in my JEEP after those runs .

Well we couldn't make the runs , but the Borla S / OBX Headers + srt max CAM Sounds bad a$$ :eek: :eek: Got the new TOONA tune in and it's pulling nice , maybe Johan needs to tweak out the tune a little cuz aint pulling as near as mine rig does so far maybe do to little boy being a all torque CAM ?

The two cams are spec'd different to produce results at different RPMs.

Sounds even better after the CAM

The guys that installed mine thought that they were very well made and they sound great.
Well we came to a conclusion that the difference is inside , looks like KOOKS took its time to make sure the inside of the pipes are extremity smooth unlike the OBX . will that make a difference in power :confused: I don't know .

The two cams are spec'd different to produce results at different RPMs.
True , but i know how mine pulls from stop to top , The SRT MAX CAM power delivers is all after the 3500-4000 RPM mark . Me don't like that :D makes it feel almost that the lag is still there .

I have obx headers on my lightning with magnaflow cat back. Fit and finish was great. There was a lot of debate on obx vs American made. I went for it based on cost and am happy. I did buy a different set of gaskets, bolts and exhaust clamps. Some guys had issues with small leaks at the welds. Go into a dark room and stick a flash light in the header and look for any pin holes. I have been happy with them on my Lightning.

Well so far looks like is a winner , we just need to hit the track this Sunday for more concrete proof , Jeep is running similar #'s as me with OBX Headers and SRT Max CAM vs My Little boy / KOOKS , using the GTECH PRO RR Witch matched my track #'s dead on . oH AND DID I SAY TRAP SPEED WAS AS HIGH AS 111MPH vs my 109 .

:eek:DAMN!! really... hell yeah thats impressive then.... definitely a route worth taking then.. let me ask you which would you do if you didnt have any headers then... would you just save for the KOOKS or go w/ the OBX's... I'm plunging into getting some headers soon.... both of them sound amazing too...
