First and foremost, I want to point out that this is not an official image of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Trackhawk, nor do we have any real idea of when the Hellcat-powered SUV will first see the light of day. Rumors indicated that it would debut this week in New York, but some of the folks insisting that the Trackhawk would debut this week have now backed off of that in light of the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk – which is a far cry from a 707hp terror. Maybe the Hellcat Jeep will debut this week and maybe it won’t, but if it does, it might look a little bit like the Jeep shown above. Trackhawk Front End Rendering This piece of artwork showing the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk with the SRT Hellcat engine comes to us from JeepTrackhawkForums.com.

We have featured information from this forum in the past, as they often seem to have their thumb right on the pulse of the Hellcat Jeep world. As you can see, the design of the Hellcat Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk isn’t much of a departure from the current SRT Jeep with the 392 Hemi. The hood has a front facing scoop and a pair of heat extracting vents, similar to the design of the Hellcat Challenger and Charger. The headlights and grille are similar to the current SRT Jeep, but there is a new slotted area across the middle which would help draw in extra air –presumably through the intricate cooling system of the Hellcat Hemi. Below the new openings, we see the driving light/fog light combo from the current Jeep, but that is where the similarities with the current Grand Cherokee SRT end.

The lower fascia is drastically lower than the current SRT Jeep, with a huge central grille flanked by two large ducts for the brake cooling. This lower fascia area is very similar to the style of the Hellcat Charger, so a design like this would make sense for the production Trackhawk, both in form and function. So, while this image isn’t an official look at the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk with the SRT Hellcat Hemi, but when that beast hits the road – and it has been promised by the end of 2017 – there is a good chance that it could look a great deal like the artwork above. As a Jeep fan, I could definitely live with this look. -

I for one hope it does not look like that. Way too much going on. The aftermarket has been riced across the board. Liberty walk exotics. White walls on SRT Jeeps. Tacky body kits. They need to keep it clean and aggressive. The front of the Charger Hellcat was extremely well done. Elegant and aggressive. Let the JDM ghetto moders add all the extra crap for Instagram likes.

To be honest, I don't think body style wise they will really do anything. As IMO the platforms now really have no different structures over or across the trim lines. The wk1 platforms incorporated a direct attempt to separate over the non SRT trim.

Very little body style appearance other then suttle esoteric type cues IMO (other then proformance) are put forth in the new styles. Really only so much you can do with out changing the platform vs cost and build line manufacturing.

Unless since they are separating from the whole "SRT/Hellcat" name branding and want to put forth a new design with name branding rather then piggybacking (doubt it) the cost upgrades will just be in the drivetrain and rebadged "Hellcat" motor. So if anything body kit styles will be added (grill, dampers) maybe even exclusive color code no options --- factory flat paint now more need to wrap, or dare I say adept candy factory color? No chance

^ The are more exterior differences with the WK2 SRT versus the base WK2 than there are with the WK1 SRT and Base SRT. I'm referring to the 14+

WK2 SRT - Front Bumper, Headlights, Grill, Side Skirts, Fender Flares, Wheels, Rear Bumper, Tail Lights (8 differences)
WK1 SRT - Front Bumper, Grill, Side Skirts, Wheels, Rear Bumper (5 differences)

The exhaust is part of the bumper so that only counts as 1 difference.

Yes I agree that all the people in the know, know the difference, but it is like Viking said, it's the people that don't know any better. Oh don't forget the suspension difference too on both platforms probably, but the WK1 is noticeably lower than other trims also. Ask my front bumper how I know.......

Still not it.

This. So much this.

It won't let me edit my post. I forgot to say, there will be no need for the Hellcat to tow. You have the base SRT for that.
So someone will have to buy 2 if they want to have a Hellcat AND tow? I doubt it.

1. I'm not touchy. (that sounded touchy). Most of the attacks are WK1 against WK2. I saw an opening to address an issue and went with it.
2. The 12-13 SRT was very hard to recognize. The 14+ is quite easy in any color other than black, from any direction. The black grill surround is largely responsible for this.

For the record, I'm 51.263% sure the 2018 Hellcat motored SRT Jeep will have center exhaust. I say this because it's confirmed there will be 2 tiers. I hate this but oh well. The new bumper we see spied is for the 2017 SRT Jeep, whatever it is called. The "hellcat Jeep" will hopefully have more to differentiate it. I'd venture to say both the updated SRT and the Hellcat SRT will benefit from the alleged 500lb weight savings...one would hope at least. It's also been rumored the 6.4 will be churning out 495 HP..I think, could have been a different number

I honestly don't care about towing, we never tow and if we had to we have 2 or 3 vehicles that are capable. I would honestly also vote for a centered exhaust like on the wk1 only to get some more SEXXINESS out of the rear end. Got to agree with a-kon on enough is enough, it's like us complaining that there don't fit enough groceries in our Mclaren P1 (not that we have a P1 (yet) lol).

Pretty sure majority of people trying to get into one of these aren't looking to tow with it.......

If I could afford one, I can tell you for a fact it wouldn't be for its towing capabilities.

Pfffff. .... nothing sexier than a 700+ HP supercharged srt jeep pulling out of a lake with a 100k toy..... just saying. Complete sex machine.... the thumbs up you get when you have toys behind is priceless. Have other vehicles I can town with.... but who the hell wants to tow with those... just not as cool... you guys don't understand. Must be one of those... you have to do it to know... LOL

**** dealer markups and the dealers who use them. I guarantee there will be dealers who don't play that game.

Probably an empty link for future use, which would eventually take the user to Jeep's website
