Just picked up my Jeep from Dip One in NJ.
It used to be Silver.
It's now Liquid Vinyl Wrapped and I really LOVE this stuff.
I chose one of the newer colors to come out- Steel Blue Pearl AutoFlex sort of keeps it within the "heritage" colors.
It's a quick process, and the guys at Dip One are true professionals. It looks and feels just like paint, you can wash it, wax it, whatever.
Could last up to 10 years, but with daily driving probably will need to peel it and replace it in 4-6 years.
But feels like it's a brand new vehicle.

They did mine for $2k and done in a Day! Mine took a little longer as the humidity was really high for a few days, but still had it back in a week.
The picture does the Steel Blue Pearl no justice. It is DARK, almost black in certain lighting or in the shade. (The grille is Gloss Black in the picture for comparison.)

It takes about 30 days to cure then I believe you can have it detailed and polished to a mirror finish. It has AutoFlex which is a liquid vinyl "clearcoat".
There's no adhesive like regular vinyl wrap so when it comes off it'll literally peel right off, no glues to scrub off, etc.

There really is no reason to paint your car unless you are in an accident that needs body repairs.
I had quotes to "re-fresh" my silver paint from body shops that were upwards of $8 - $10K. I can Liquid Vinyl in different colors 4-5 times for the price.
Liquid Vinyl Wrap on a Daily Driver like mine should last at least 3-5 years before it needs changing. But something that's not driven a lot it could last up to 10 years.

I was floored when I first saw it...definitely as much or more as the day I got it back turbocharged.

I'll try to get more pictures in different lighting and get them up soon.

Congrats!!! Very nice. Can you list the shop in NJ please? Also, you mentioned that once cured it can be washed/waxed/detailed like regular paint... just to clarify... it's nothing like the wrap, that needs a particular spray, or can't be in a car wash

From what I found using Google, it's sprayed on like paint. It's apparently similar to Plasti Dip...but a high gloss is now achievable. Unlike vinyl which is a sheet with adhesive, this stuff is very much a temporary, self-leveling paint material.

Hey Lenny.

It was Dip One in Ringoes, NJ. They have another shop in Kinnelon, NJ (Butler), but they only do traditional Vinyl Wrapping and Plasti-Dip there.
They spray the higher end Liquid Vinyl Wrap at Hunterdon Collision/Auto Body in Ringoes, NJ at 155 US Highway 202. They have the pro-painters there spray it on.
They were 1 of 4 dippers in the country to test this out and have been working with it since 2015 adjusting the mixes over time to get it to work the best.
They're trying to find ways to get faster cure times now.
It's sprayed on just like you're painting the car, the car just needs to be really well cleaned and prepped before they spray, but the whole process can be done in 1 - 3 days depending on prep time, takes between 6 - 8 coats. THEY CAN EVEN MATCH OEM COLORS!!
This is nothing like Plasti-Dip, when cured it looks and feels just like paint. I had parked my new Challenger right next to a Liquid Vinyl Wrapped Audi and touched the hood of both cars....could not tell the difference. The Plasti-Dipped car I touched felt like a rubberized sheet on the car, it's kind of sticky to the touch, it was kinda gross. I originally went to them to get the Jeep Plasti-Dipped but when they showed me this stuff it was definitely night and day.
AutoFlex I believe works just like a ClearCoat and once cured in about 30 days it can be cut, buffed, polished to a Mirror Finish just like a paint job. You can Wash it, Wax it, Detail Spray it just like a paint job. They say it should last up to 10 years, but on a daily driven vehicle that's well cared for, they told me it'll probably need to be refreshed in maybe 4-5 years. But for $2K I'll replace it and change out colors every 3- 4 years and still never hit the prices I was quoted for a paint "re-fresh" here in NY.
I'm really glad I found this stuff, it really looks like a brand new vehicle again. I almost can't wait to peel it off and try out a new color in the next few years.

Yes, I believe so, it is tied to the brand DipYourCar. It's the premium line.
