Both UPR and BT make the type that mounts to the TIPM(fuse box). Depending on how the wiring is routed through the half cover, the Z bracket might work on the 2014. It wouldn't on my 2012. So I went with TIPM mount.

The vacuum lines shouldn't matter as the fittings on either side of the can itself are the same (inlet/outlet). The air goes into one inlet, through the internal medium that catches the oil vapor, and out the other. Just go with whichever hose/inlet is the most direct route.

Agreed. There is no specific in or out on the catch can. The routing of the hoses is entirely up to you. Basically, whatever works for you visually.

 

Sure you can figure out the straighter position and better flow.
