Who can we take with mods?

You can't win all of the time, you never know whats under their hood either. It's called gambling, good luck my friend.

Are you strictly asking in terms of 1/4miles?

Well there's a vid on YouTube of a 426 Jeep tuned by AJ running away from an LP560-4 from a roll. Same jeep also running door to door with a Ron Fellows C6Z that I think may have had a mod or two.

Then again there's that guy from Michigan with just a cam, bolt-ons, and tune that seems to take down anything that stacks up against him; and gets $hit for posting the video evidence.

Moral: You never know what you're gonna be able to take down. That's why its called street racing, its totally unpredictable.

Why would you run from the stock new X5? There are plenty of cars that are faster, it depends on how deep your vs. their pockets are...Beware of everyone...You will never be the fastest..There are cars that look stock but when you run them...They will get the last laugh...Just have fun because there will always be someone faster!

Oh I know there is ALWAYS someone faster. To be honest I don't care if I win or lose, I was just wondering with mods what do they compare with. I was more into fair set ups at the track

I raced and beat an X5M this fall at etown... I think he ran like a 12.60 @ 110. Pretty sure it was stock because it didnt have an plates on it yet, but who knows

Well I think there is a communication breakdown here... because there are 2 ways of running away from something:

With your tail between your legs.

With a thumbs up and a great shot of your exhaust.

^^ What he said. I am on Corvette forums as well and you wouldn't believe the C5's that appearance wise they are completely stock and look so un-touched until you look under their hood and you wouldn't believe what they are running/pushing.

These days man there are dodge neon srt4's killing corvettes.... The aftermarket auto industry has evolved soo much recently that its not just the guys with the deep pockets that can afford to mod their expensive cars. So I mean it can be anyone who can kick your butt. Just pray that you dont run into them too often. lol

If your running a 426 your not going to lose a lot of races.

As long as you race from a dig, you have a chance of beating almost any car up to a certain point.

Werd....with a 426 and good tires, not much is gonna stand a chance on the street. I would get it refined and dialed in perfect if you bought the rig the way it sits. Might as well make the most of what you have under the hood!

I win often... But I have lost to a M6 on the highway. Of course I am in a Jeep going 80mph on the highway when we start racing... They have more top end and better aerodynamics.
It was modded like crazy also... Once im at 120mph its like im slowing down and he is speeding up.
Once we get up near 100mph and our Jeeps start slowing down and small sports cars seem to go faster.

Now race anything from a dig and you got a great chance! From 0-100mph you should be able to hold your own against some crazy fast cars. But this is less than a 1/4 mile of a race.

Here's who you should stay away from BBill , BJB , Keoni , Harrison and all the stage 6 turbo Beast , Jim's TT Creations TT Monster , & last but not least ME , and the list goes on . Now for those X5 /X6M they are insignificant challenges for your 426 IMO .

[email protected]!* IT!! don't stay away from anything or anyone! lol i race everyone... raced a brand new lambo over the summer... knew i wasn't going to win that one... but i just like to see what cars can do! lol and that lambo did alot! ha but yeah from stop to stop light you should be able to beat most cars and keep up with or beat bikes!

The 426 should get you in the mid 11's. Not many stock cars that can run that. But once they are modded anything is possible. My local track has a high 8 second civic that looks like a POS from the outside until you look under the hood.

wow... thats fast... but yeah bottom line is keep your eyes and ears open... people talk alot about fast cars... take the losses at motivation to making your beast even "beastier" haha
