Went to the dealer this morning and waited for a "master tech" to diagnosis my problem with the grinding noise between 20 to 30 mph. and still has no clue, I asked to have the software update on the final drive, there was a TSB out on it not but for my vin number he updated the software and gave it back and said it is still making the noise but i don't know what it could be it dosn't do it on the lift but when it is on the ground under a load it still does it. possible transfer case issue but i don't know. so as i was driving home for about 20 miles i noticed that the noise is going away, almost gone but still making the noise. oh well. i don't know what else to do. i guess i will try another dealer???

if the jeep is under warranty ask them to check for the trans ouput shaft that conncets to the t-case and make sure its tight, that was my problem and now the jeeps runs like a dream

did you have a grinding noise only between 20-30 mph??

by the way, i think it was just a dream cuz the noise is still the same, i guess i had the radio too loud!!

Erald is right. I think there is a TSB about the output shaft from the trans to the Tcase. He just has this problem with his 2006 and now its fixed.
