Not sure if this has been discussed, but found some info on the web about the new transmissions being offer on 2012 vehicles. There are two 6 speed units, 65RFE & 66RFE. The 66 has ratios similar to the 5 speed in ours. Was curious if it could handel the power from our vehicles, could not find any info on that, also could it be adapted to work. A 6th gear with a ratio of .625:1 would really help on the highway and improve distance mileage. Just something to consider or think about.

Not sure if they'd actually bolt up, but programming is the major issue I would think.

^+1, Even if there was a way to bolt them together, you would need some way to convert all the drivetrain electronics. Not to mention how expensive it would be for a few mpgs.
