The nag1 transmission has a main fault with o-ring on the input shat in the torque converter there is an o-ring that does perish which allows fluid to leak through onto the pressure plate reducing pressure but this would cause all gears to slip so if not that you would have problems with the valve in your valve body on the second gear the leak on the plug would not cause gear slippage it is some time ago I looked at this in a series of YouTube videos siu automotive a series the do a complete rebuild of a nag1 and the torque converter and show the aftermarket upgrades for the valve body and a Teflon seal in the torque converter instead of the rubber o-ring or your clutch pack is gone on the second gear you need a trans overhaul to diagnose it
