I just purchased a set of OEM wheels and they are in mint condition. The only problem is that they didn't come with the tire pressure monitors. I would like to avoid having a warning light on all the time when I use these wheels so I need to buy some.

Where can I purchase the TPMs for the wheels? The dealership said they are roughly $100/wheel but the parts guy also said there are cheaper aftermarket ones. Any suggestions as to where I can order some?

I replaced all mine with new ones from Discount Tire. The valve steams on my OEMs started to crack. I think I paid about $50/each there.

Easy to install. But you need the tire off the wheel. So I'm guessing you gotta take it to someone.

Tires must be dismounted, then install the sensor ( new valve assembly ) then re mount and balance tires.
Also keep in mind that a lot of the "budget" sensors are not pre pre programmed so you will need a tire shop / dealership to scan the bar code of the old unit so they are able to match the frequency of the new sensor :)

the 100$ units from the dealer are self learning so no need for this step.
