I've already used the search feature and found a few things. Just want to verify and ask a few questions.
1) So, I noticed the surge after a "cold" start from around 1k to 1.5k RPMs. That seems to be solved with a TSB, so I'm good with that. But, I also noticed this morning while sitting in a drive-thru that the idle creeped down to around 500 RPMs and then almost died twice. Afterwards, it seems to drive fine. I also noticed that the water temp was around 215. From my searches, it looks as if this is "normal". Is that correct?
2) Next issue: I noticed while climbing a hill yesterday that it sounded as if the engine RPM was surging ever so slightly (enough I could hear a difference in engine speed). Anybody have a clue on this? Maybe I'm going crazy. I didn't see anything from my searches with this issue. This also occured right before the shift.
3) Next issue: I noticed a what I would describe as a lag or studder right before and after the shift. Seems like it happens when I'm near empty, but not always. It's not that it is delaying the shift.
4) Final issue: I hear a clunk after a mild take off and then letting out before or during the shift. I thought it was the transmission, but I've heard it other times while it's still in gear. Read end? I've heard something similar before in my '03 GT Mustang (manual car) with a mild take off and then letting out of the throttle but leaving it in gear...which i was told was driveline slack. Valve body, that thing noted in "rear end - SRT8 clunk solved" (youtube),
or front diff bushing?
If there's a thread on one of these that I missed, feel free to tell me to keep searching. Thanks!
