this one is about if stock really hurts your power n electric cut outs..other one is about mopar vs borla...
Your stock exhaust will be just fine .
Cut outs would sound bad ass.

Jeremy, you always make me laugh......
Cut outs would sound bad ass.
im really feelin them if stock doesnt hurt power
The stock exhaust on the Jeeps is one of the better flowing stock exhausts.

But they sound like a 1986 Grand Am!

And the stock exhaust is twice as heavy as my Borla.
The weight of the stock exhaust isn't going to hurt you. If you want loud get the Borla or put in cut outs if you only want it some of the time. The stock exhaust flows well like everyone says.

idc about weight im questioning if the stock exhaust restrains power compared to borla or corsa
The Borla uses the same 2.75 pipe as the stock exhaust and according to AJ will not help
and possibly hurt power. All I can share is my experience with the exact same setup
you have. My buddy Craig owned the jeep you are driving and did everything I did.

When I switched back to the stock exhaust I did not lose any power at all. Sound is up to you.
I didnt recommend cuttouits, Keoni did. get a B and B IMO, its a 3 inch exhaust and has good flow.
The 440 will take care of the sound from there.

PS, you dont have Kooks, you have American Racing headers. Trust me
Stock headers are really the choke point, the stock catback is fine

It really boils down to what sound you want and what tips you like

Cut outs are good if you need to keep quiet some times and want to turn it up when you want but for speed I dont think the lack of back pressure will help you
Found this one online for ya.. Its got cutouts.

And is definitely 3" for that free flow.

5" Tips not included. (MIGwelder broke)

Jim it looks good...be at shop tomorrow to get it installed. Thanks for doing some research for me! Trucks going to sound so mean :)...we can just steal the tips off that slow silver jeep that got beat up by an import:blueblob:
Shots fired! Hes brewing up some ideas. watchout..!

Back to topic.. The Borla on THIS truck was the Loudest setup I've personally heard. Had a customer with another 440 who removed the B&B for a Borla, because he said he wanted it louder. The Mopar one may be quiet for a while, but I've noticed them to 'blowout" a bit and get extremely loud on moderate to heavily modified vehicles.
So...
Loudest - 1. Borla // 2.B&B // 3. Mopar (under WOT) // 4 ______ //// X. Stock

Magnaflow seems only a bit louder than stock.. maybe another forum member can chime in with feedback, as I havent had a 440 with one yet.
Different strokes for different folks.

For a DD, and being that law enforcement seems to find you easily, leave well enough alone, keep quiet.
