STOCK vs. CORSA vs. GTHaus Exhausts (WK2 SRT)

I have been wanting to give an honest comparison/review of each exhaust and compare side by side for 2014 Jeep SRT.

Stock Exhaust:

Stock exhaust is just that. Subtle rumble that sounds decent when you get on it, but like most people felt the need for more so I swapped it out for CORSA.

CORSA Exhaust:

I have had corsa exhaust on my 2012 Ford Raptor, 2010 Silverado and 2007 Avalanche and unfortunately my 2014 Jeep SRT. Getting Corsa for any WK2 Jeep is the BIGGEST mistake you can make. The start up rumble is nice but other than that it sucks!! Set the cruise between 33-48 miles an hour and when the MDS kicks in you will be so sick you will NEED the exhaust to be removed asap! The drone at these speeds is awful!! I mean awful! I had it on for 4 months and it was so bad! On top of the drone, the raspy sound when you step on it is enough to make your car sound like a cheap civic with a NAPA crap muffler installed. I can't tell you how many other SRT owners in Chicago would roll up and tell me the exhaust sounded like shit!! Just an awful exhaust for this car all around! I honestly did not find anything positive about except for the start up. Thats it!

GTHaus Exhaust:

WOW! Just a crazy deep deep exhaust. I have had it installed for 4 days and WOW! Just an incredible exhaust! I like a deep roar but this thing is so dam loud when you step on it. I can't even/won't ride with the valve open because it's so loud it really pisses people off! Incredible sound but a little to loud for my liking. Here comes a real big negative:

THIS EXHAUST WILL SLOW YOUR CAR DOWN TREMENDOUSLY! I HAVENT COMPARED ANY NUMBERS BUT MAN I FEEL LIKE THE CAR DOES NOT MOVE BECAUSE OF THIS EXHAUST. IT'S SLOWER WITH THE VALVE OPEN BUT MAN THIS EXHAUST REALLY REALLY SLOWS THE CAR DOWN. IF I COULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN I WOULD SAVE ALL THE MONEY AND KEEP THE CAR STOCK. I REALLY LOVE SWAPPING OUT EXHAUST BUT CHRYSLER PRODUCTS ARE NOT CARS TO MESS WITH.

FINAL WORD:

All in all I have had a bad experience with swapping out exhausts. I would keep the car bone stock if I could do it all over again. Corsa is absolutely junk! Please listen to me. DO NOT buy that crappy system! If you want just an incredible system than by GTHaus. Rediculously deep and LOUD exhaust. 5X louder than that of corsa! It's so loud my fiancé wants me to sell the car. All in all I can't stand how big of a slug the car is so I prob will sell. Please comment if you have any questions. I will do my best and try to respond to them.

Hope this helps some of you guys out!

Thank you for the review and if you decide to sell the GT PM me as I am very interested in taking it off of your hands.

Thanks.
I may be getting old but most of the exhaust videos I watched sound load and obnoxious, not nice deep and refined kinda like a cheap old clapped out V8. I went the Borsa S and couldn't be happier and with no loss of power.

Man I have to agree with you. My jeep feels slower with the GTHaus. I felt more power with my custom setup.

It could be going back and forth from open to closed confused the PCM.
Good to know. I was eyeing up this sexy looking system. Am more than happy with my Borla S though :)

Same here... My Borla Atak ships this week and I'm glad I didn't dump another $3,000 into the exhaust :(
dang... well, I was about to order my gt system today... can anyone else chime in with their experience?
You just saved me Cohiba262!!

I was getting all caught up in the GT Haus thread and was just starting to look into either getting the Corsa 144166 or GT Haus to swap out my "custom" set-up.
(I've been (buyer remorsing) over the Borla ATAK ever since I chose it over the Corsa last year.)
My current "custom" cat-back exhaust with no tuner or tune, just an INJEN CAI and I'm doing 4.6 0-60 times, that's nothing remarkable, but I don't want to lose any torque. I recently did a reso delete and lost $740 and 1.4 secs off my 0-60 times. Resos are now reinstalled along with the 1.4 secs. Only thing lighter is my wallet.
I have a DS Intune DCX, Fastman TB and JET 180 Tstat which should be here very soon. I'll get those installed and then I'll be taking her down to Long Island and have the boys at American Racing Headers put on their headers and Hi-Flow cats and custom dyno tune it right there as they now have a new AWD dyno in their shop. I hope that will give my girl an extra punch of power and sound I'm desperately looking for.

Can you or did you notice any performance decrease with the Corsa? Just wondering...
Problem with exhaust opinions is they're like arseholes....everyones got one. If Corsa sounds like a racecar then for me that means load and obnoxious...OK for a race car but not my 85k daily driven jeep. I wanted more an Austin Martin sound, clean deep, refined and just plain sweeeeeet. I have had many favourable comments regarding how mine sounds its no DB9 but its close. I also have the joy of when I stick the accelerator to the firewall I don't have every person within 3 miles stare at me including the law :) BUT as I said as well each to their own what I like ain't what everyone likes visa versa but of what Ive read on here a decent $3000 exhaust and sports air intake are pretty much the best guarantees to get rolled by a stock car...
Your right the GTHaus is loud, I still like it though, my only advice if anyone is looking to buy one do not bother paying $400 for the black chrome tips... They just look black and nothing like the advertised photo. Complete waste of money.

Here is a photo of the advertised shadow black chrome..

I had a completely different experience with the Corsa than the OP on my 2014. I actually love the sound of the Corsa and have not noticed the Drone he mentions.
No bad ears here. I think Corsa is a great exhaust for trucks. FOR THE GC SRT it's god awful! Beyond raspy! With Corsa exhaust on the car there was no power decrease. GTHaus power loss is awful. Sound is great but the loss in power makes the car sound awesome but feel like your standing still.
wow, this is crazy disappointing to hear... really wanted the insanely loud sound, but have no interest in losing power :(
