I had my starter replaced last April, and now 10k miles later it's acting up. When I turn the key I get a single click and the dash reads "Transmission over temp", the starter was bought from my local dealer and installed by a friend what's the typical warranty of starter from the dealer?

sounds like the solenoid took a dump.

one possible reason for the solenoid to go out back-to-back like this is a bad battery. how old is yours?

I replaced the battery about two years ago, I need to get this taken care of tomorrow as it's my DD.

Starter was shot, dealer replaced it all good now.
