Hey Guys,

How is the Stainless Works Exhaust on our Jeeps? I have an 06 with just intake, and found a great deal on a stainless works that I just told one of the guys I will take from him. Any reviews on the exhaust? people that have it like it? any video clips or sound clips would be awesome. I looked already on youtube and I gotta say I like the sound. Does the exhaust give you any extra ponies?

Any info would be great

Thank You

KAMIL

i have a cat back fitted to my Jeep, as recommended to me for non drone systems and it drones like a *****. Drones so bad the wife will not drive it and it makes the Jeep horrible to drive in traffic. don't believe the advert where it says no drone, it does, real bad. I've made complaints to Paul at SW, who even admits they drone but two weeks after fitting they have done nothing to sort it! Great service, not! so take my advice and buy from someone that actually tells the truth and will give you back up! SW should be ashamed of themselves!

This is what that Valve system reads But who knows

Standard Fuel Saver Technology and a new-for-2012 active valve exhaust system allows four-cylinder operation to engage over a wider rpm range, to deliver both improved fuel efficiency – a 13-percent increase on the highway – and an extended range of 450 miles on one tank of gas.

LOL My wife doesn't mind loud or deep but the drone is just so bad even i can't stand it! We had an AC Cobra with nice deep pipes but without the drone and that was fine but the SW system drives this vibe right up ya spine and through the back of ya head at about 1600 rpm right through to 2100 isn, not good at all. Should have brought a Corsa!

BIGWES and I on here bought the complete system from Skip at Demon Performance and I absolutely love the sound. Has some drone at 40 but none anywhere else. The cruise around speed and WOT sound freaking lethal.

Also BIGWES and I did a 70 to 140 roll and he did take me when he had the complete system installed and I had stock manifolds/exhaust. Pulled by more than I thought.

i agree that the SW sounds awesome on idle and when you're on the throttle it is just music to your ears but that drone at between 30-40 is just a pain in the ass, it ruins the whole drive for me, especially when all the adverts say no drone. Mine also came from Skip at Demon Performance but i really wished i'd got the corsa. Mines the only one in europe and if other owners read about the drone then it's likely to be the only one for a long time! I've got a pair of the chambered mufflers coming from SW so i really hope that cures the drone, if not it'll be up for sale and a corsa on order!

Boo yah! Corsa all the way. Lol. Expensive but absolutely no regrets. WOT is all kinds of ridiculousness and no drone. Best catback IMO but to each his own.

Drones like a M'Fer. Wish I never bought it and took the advice of others and bought the Corsa. Even with a chambered muffler, added a Magnaflow, and close to $1800 later, it still drones from 20-40 mph. After that, it does sound awesome. Just can't take the cabin noise at low speeds. To each his own I guess. I've decided it has to come off. Anyone want it?

Exactly the same as mine then. I've got both mufflers and i've paid 3 times to have the system checked and refitted but still drones like a M'Fer in the same speed/rev range as yours. I called SW and spoke to Paul, twice and he really doesn't give a crap. All he said was, " Man, these are big engines and the systems are designed for power not noise so you'll always get drone"! Really, not what the adverts say, i've clearly read no drone in the sales books! In this country(UK) we have laws for these kind of people, called the sale of goods act. If it's not as described on the advert you get your money back and they get the crap back. Pity it doesn't apply there. I've spent close to $2500 on my SW system and freaking hate it, i hate the fact that it drones so much but worse is that smug little butt wipe Paul doesn't really give a crap about customers as long as the till is ringing up sales. If i lived nearly he would need to see a doctor to remove the system from his butt hole! I will never buy another product from Sw and hopefully these king of messages on forums will save buyers from wasting there cash on crap!

I've posted several times a out my experiences with SW (included pictures of my entire "rebuild") and your right, SW couldn't care less after many conversations on the phone. They even had the balls to make me pay for Chambered muffler ( I originally had the Turbo S) and send the other back. That doesn't even include the 3 sets of exhaust Tips that were went to me because their tolerances were so off they wouldn't fit on the end of pipe. The clamps they send to install are shit. I had the end dual mufflers fall off twice while driving, and the tips would shift every time you tried to tightened them down. I finally had every joint tack welded, including the tips so they they won't move. I also had to have the end pipes cut down so exhaust tips don't stick out the end like an F150. I admit from a cosmetic standpoint, my revamped system looks awesome. But it still makes "my skin crawl" as my wife says every time she rides in the Jeep.

I bought this POS based on price, and the fact they advertise Drone Free. They fact they are a "young company" and are still working out the kinks" doesn't mean shit to me. They should not advertise they are drone free, when in reality, they are the complete opposite, even if you add additional resonators as in my case. They did offer me a deal if I purchased their headers, but I find that insulting. I would never, ever, buy anything, including a replacement washer, from Stainless Works again. I too, hope everyone including Newbies alike take heed and stay far far away from their exhaust systems. Simply put, They Blow. Ok, rant over.

Oh yeah of course you're gong to buy some headers off of them too! What a clown!! I also had the turbo s as recommended to me and the drone was so loud my wife refused to get in it and i couldn't stand it for more than a few miles.Every thing seems to come loose, first it was the cat ends, then the muffler to mid section came undone and then the tips came loose and turned around on the pipes so lucky they never fell off! What's really odd is that when the system is cold its a lot quieter but once warm everything just expands and then all hell breaks loose! It expands out the back over 1/2 inch!!!! A local exhaust specialist here fell about laughing when he saw how it was made and said the material was sub standard or did he say shit!, oh yes that was it and when i told him how much i paid for it he was crying with laughter! I had the chambered muffler sent over but refused to pay for it so SW billed it to Demon performance who i ordered the system from although we both thought that they were sending it free to make good a shit system! It's got to come off for sure. I too will never buy another thing from SW, not even a cent worth. This company is getting fat ripping us off for our hard earned cash and then basically telling you to get screwed when you complain. If nothing else, i hope this thread will stop people buying the crap the make and sell for our jeep and spread the word to stay well away from them. Corsa all the way for me as soon as i find someone to buy this one here in UK.

Guys I have this system too. I have the sw headers and the non turbo s mufflers.
There is drone at a certain rpm I think around 2000 but I Can tolerate that no problem.
The problem I am starting to get is my wife's complaining ever so slightly about it so what I do is I control the drone by manually controlling the gears when I near that drone rpm range. Little bit of a pain to do but it's better then her complaining.
