I don't know if it's the same in the US, but I asked my dealer about that several years ago. At one time when the 300C SRT8's were first out we were advised only SRT techs were allowed to work on our cars. That came from one of the first SRT chat sessions. They also call them Viper techs. Fortunately at my dealer they had one who was also the most senior tech and that's the guy who I tell them I only want. The service manager told me it's just a one or two day course and I wish I knew if that was still the same policy from SRT.

I work at a toyota dealership, and we have "hybrid" certified mechanics.

I have talked to service guys at chrysler and they told me there is one guy that is certified, but everyone works on them..

I would look for a viper tech

I found one at a dealer that was not very close but felt it was worth the extra time

Dropping your jeep off to what ever dealer is a crap shoot
