A while back, my drivers seat developed a squeak. I found the cause was a bolt rubbing (Pic below), so I sprayed some grease on it and that fixed the problem.

A few days ago, I notice a clanking sound from the seat and find that it is the same bolt. I stuck my hand down there to see if I could hand tighten it but there is little room to maneuver.

From what I can see without removing the whole seat, it looks to be a larger sized Torx head bolt. I’ll try and mess with it tomorrow and report back...

The bolt uses a T40 Torx bit. With so little room to work, I couldn’t get it to budge, so I sprayed more grease on it and the noise went away... for now.

Theres about a hairs thickness of a gap between the bolt head and the metal tab, and the movement was causing the clanking noise. If it comes back, I’m thinking of slipping some vinyl shim to fill the gap.
