hello, having an issue with service awd light coming on then nav screen goes blank then light goes off and screen comes back on, is this a common problem? thanks for any help

Having any noise coming from the transfer case? When was the last time you changed out the TC fluid?
Could be a whole bunch of different issues causing the problem.
When my service light came on it ended up being a $7 brake switch causing the problem. But I didn't have any issues with the NAV when it happened.
Sounds almost electrical.

That's funny, mine went off yesterday. Using my handy dandy Android app called Torque I went in to see what fault code it was. I wish I could remember the exact one, but is was a P0500 (or one close to that), rough idle cold start. I cleared the code and the Service AWD System went out on restarting the Jeep. I'll keep an eye on it, but I don't think it was anything serious. We had snow yesterday and the roads were very slippery and I have a feeling that had a lot to do with it.

I'm also getting what seems like a slow engagment of the awd and I can feel almost a thump when it does engage

had truck in at the dealer today, has codes for transfer case motor performance and transmission implausible wheel speed, still no definite answer tho what the problem is, fluid is in great condition(color is good) but i just bought this truck and am thinking about changing it out anyways cus they might have put wrong fluid in it
