when i bought the jeep the cel light was on. turned out to be a bad oil pressure switch. now i have a new problem that started last night. got out of the jeep and tried to lock it with the fob and no luck. so then i tried the door handle button again nothing. got in, started jeep, shut jeep off, then it would lock with the fob.

when i got back in to drive it later i noticed it was on am radio and my eq settings were all zeroed. then on the way home the a loud pop from the speakers, the headunit rebooted, and the center digital dash section went out for a second. drove the jeep today and this same thing happened about 10 more times.

so, now i have to take it in for troubleshooting next week. being without my jeep for the second time in this month sucks. i hope this isn't how the rest of my ownership experience is going to be like.

Not sure about the locking issue, but the mygig units are basically the same in the WK1 & WK2 just run different software & both mine switches to am when starting it every so often. I've also had 1 unit replaced & a Kicker amp replaced. Not much help I know since I have WK1's but problems with the head units are pretty common.

yeah i had the mygig in past jeeps reboot randomly. this seems to be a system wide electrical issue though.
I would be checking all the battery cables and grounds I could find for something loose.
can't find anything loose. yesterday it cut out again, but this time the dash showed a message that said no fuse. headunit was off for a couple of minutes then it came back and no fuse message went away.

I don't know if this will help but I had a 2010 Grand Cherokee that the key fob would not work all the time. I opened the fuse box and pushed down all of the fuses as some of them seemed that they were not seated properly. I worked and the key fob worked properly since.

Might be worth a shot to check.
yeah i had that lovely fob issue on my '10 and the dealer changed everything on the jeep and the fobs and it never was resolved. that problem annoyed the hell out of me.
wow, sucks to hear you are having issues with your brand new jeep. I hope the dealership fixes it all.
they claim it was the iod fuse not fully seated. we'll see.
Hey Rutiger have you had the problem since? Hopefully it was the fuse seating.

i have not
Glad you got it fixed. Electrical issues are the worse things to trouble shoot.
