Hey does anyone know if they threw down salt tonight even though the snow didnt stick. let me know because its driving me crazy. I have to get a beater tomorrow.

They put down some liquid deicer up here on Monday night.

You can always have your Rig rustproofed and undercoated by Zeibart..... I did and my rig looks pretty good under there....

Lived in the northeast all my life. Haven't seen any issue of rust on any daily driver I've owned in the past 15+ years. Factory undercoating is plenty good. Don't sweat the salt. Take it to a touchless car wash that gets the undercarriage periodically. It's a Jeep not a Ferrari. Enjoy year round!

That is true but when your 22 and people told you that you will never get this car for 2 1/2 years, its a different story in my book. It means more to me than just a car and i dont want to see it go bad.

The salt hasn't done anything to my jeep. I bought it in Feb 09 and drove it the rest of that winter, drove it in the winter of 09-10, drove it even more last winter 10-11 and driving it even more right now......just put the Blizzaks back on it

I wouldn't worry to much about it. Do like Eric said and you should be good. My Jeep has 60,000 miles on it and I know the previous owner before me had it in snow/salt and the underneath of mine looks good still. My old Jeep went front 17,000 miles to 120,000 miles and weeks without washing the under carriage or anything and that was still in excellent shape and seen a lot of bad winters...dealer couldn't even believe the Jeep had that many miles on it, it was that clean.
Well i got F***** tonight! they threw it down and the worst part about it was I dropped off my car this morning to get my undercarriage sprayed for rust protectant. it wasnt supposed to get wet for another 2 days and the salt got in their as well.

I think we should all put our jeeps on jackstands and store them for the winters....
I'm with the others that the salt is not the biggest concern anymore, BUT around here they mix in GRAVEL with it and there are boulders all over for 6 months! I swear the body shops and glass places fund the city and county so they use this crap. They also have a budgeted amount and if the winter is mild they use the crap out of it at the end so they get the same money for the next year! I wish there was a good way to get it changed and in my opinion it is just as hard to stop at an intersection with 1" deep of gravel as it is on snow and ice.
