Red Seat Belts?

Anyone ever switch their black seat belts out for the red ones? It's the only feature missing that I wish I had on my SRT. I think the red seat belts are a must in a red SRT.

Man In the white too! I wish I had the red belts! love the contrast between red interior and white! Red on red is another one! Years ago I had a bad ass Red Integra GS-R with red interior! whooooo that thing was so clean!!!!

I'm pretty sure the dealer can do the swap if you forked over the $. A good shop can also do it. I know a shop that offers colored belts as an upgrade option on the Hondas they build im sure other shops can do the change. But when it comes to safety make sure they know what they are doing! that's why I would go to the dealer first.

Speaking of seat belts my driver side belt does not retract smooth and fast like it should, its slow and I feel like I have to feed it up every time I get out the car. I was thinking of taking it to the dealer if they offer to inspect and repair it free which they should because seat belts are the one thing most all manufactures warranty for the life of the vehicle free.

Yeah man, I was hoping there was that one person on this forum that was going to chime in with dope pics of a successful seatbelt upgrade but the price is probably not worth it to most. The red belts look dope on the black interior, it's one of those things I feel should have been standard like the red calipers.

That Integra is nice, I remember those days I had a Honda Accord back in the day. Sometimes I wish I had taken more pics of my previous cars. I wasn't really the take pictures type back then and I regret it now lol.

I usually go to the dealer for most of my work this way if something gets screwed up, I don’t have to go back and forth with a shop. The dealers in NY are all backed up though. Their service departments are usually over crowded to the point where some dealers give Jeep customers who didn't purchase their cars at their dealership a hard time about coming in for new service because they are already so backed up. I pretty much had to go to the two dealers I like the most with warranty repairs, because they usually don't refuse warranty repairs, just to get inputted into their system. Once your in the system they usually won't give you a future hassle about any service appointments. Then they usually have young dudes working in their service department that like the way an aftermarket exhaust sounds and feel the need to see how fast your Hemi goes from 0-60 everytime they need to move your vehicle. I actually had to complain because one of the last times I picked my 5.7 Limited X from one of these dealers out here, all the heavy stuff that normally doesn't move around in my trunk, was slammed up against the rear hatch as if someone mashed the pedal down for a quick acceleration. I think I recently found a good dealer though so we'll see how it goes with the SRT.

Get your seat belt checked out though, the worst that could happen is they won't fix it for free. I guess sometime down the road I will price out a seatbelt swap. I'd want to put in OEM red belts though. That's the type of mod I wouldn't want to look aftermarket unless I was specifically going for an aftermarket look, which in that case probably wouldn't be red. I feel like it would look cheesy to pull up to a car meet with other SRT's that had OEM red belts and have red belts that don't match the OEM belts.

Yea I feel ya, the black seat belts suck, the red belts are options when you buy the Jeep brand new! I'm glad the person who originally purchased the jeep I have did the Ivory 2 coat pearl paint! its the most expensive paint option when buying the Jeep new. I love this color in the sun! it looks so beautiful! Just wish they did red belts!

Thanks yea man im the same way I never really took pics of my cars back in the day, I even used to do so many custom projects for peoples show cars that I wish I took more pics of, I used to make real carbon fiber parts, I used to do custom wrap jobs, restoring BMX bikes and never really took a lot of pictures, I have some but not as much as I should have, hell I could have made you tube vids and would have lots of cool content.

I hear ya about the dealers in NY, I used to live in the Bronx now I'm in CA. You can to put your Jeep in valet mode every time you take it in the dealer so if they attempt to drive it fast they can only go a few mph. Unless they need to drive the car faster then you might have to disable it.

Ye adeff stick to OEM belts, they have a deep blood red color which looks nice!

Whomever ordered this jeep added everything except the belts. It has the leather seats upgrade and the performance brakes package. The only thing I can think of is that they didn't like the red seat belts look. Which is wild considering the car color Is Redline Pearl.

I never thought about putting the car in valet mode for a dealer service. Honestly you just put me onto something because I didn't even know there s a valet mode. Now I'm going to go Google it so I can see how that works lol. It's a shame I even have to go that route but I will definitely be doing that in the future.

Owe never trust the goons at the service department at any shop! if you have a performance car, they will take it out for a hard drive! Thats why I like valet mode, I took it to get my Trans and diff fluids changed and the tech was like there is something wrong with your car its very sluggish we don't want to service your vehicle, I laughed and said it's in valet mode for a reason thanks, but I'll just go somewhere else. I'm glad I did because I found a shop close to my work and they did the fluid change cheaper lol.

you just setup a pin code and enter it and the car will be like in economy mode but even more limited. Prevents people from taking your car and driving it hard like when you give it to those valet guys who will park your car! Yea them mofos hit the corner and floor it haha

Yeah man, it definitely pissed me off. I had only accelerated from stop, hard enough to slam everything against the rear hatch, maybe twice in a year and those clowns did it the very first time I took my car to the dealer. Thanks for the valet mode tip. Will definitely be using that from now on.

Thanks. That's kind of what I'm thinking I'm going to do also. If you don't mind me asking how much did they run you? You bought all 5 of them?

What's the color of your interior? My neighbor recently acquired this black GC SRT and he's looking to get the interior a new look after mounting the new brake pads and tires from 4Wheelonline next week. He prefer red seat belts highlight on black seats.
