Can the opening height of the rear hatch be adjusted, when it is in the garage it opens to high touches the open garage door and auto closes, I need a few inches less opening. If so how or any other suggestions.

No on the second pull it just disconnects the auto up and down you can not put it any where you want you can just put it up and if it touches anything it will not auto down
