My rad fan is on it's last legs and my Jeep is out of warranty so I 'd like to get some input on replacing it. I'm either looking at an OEM setup or going aftermarket. If I go aftermarket what size should I be looking at 14" or 16"? I'm willing to do away with the fan guard but will fab up a shroud eventually. I just want to keep it a simple single fan setup, but if I go aftermarket I'll be getting a bit more cooling bang for my buck. Brands I'm looking at are Mishimoto, Flex-a-Lite and Be-Cool.

Anyone on here running an aftermarket setup?

my fan died after 110k miles. i went with a factory replacement. it took about 30min to get the shroud out since i did not want to take the upper rad hose off and took about 5min to get back in since i took the upper hose off "which i would suggest do from the start". the fan is held on with 3 bolts and a relay. the shroud is on with 4 bolts. it is very easy to do.

Thanks for the advice. My fan is on its last legs now, just waiting for FedEx to drop my new one off. I'll have to follow your advice with the rad hose. My beast has nearly 60k mi. Thanks again, the clicking is driving me insane lol.
