I bought my Jeep back in December and never really got on it until last weekend coming back from Brooklyn. I came across a Carrera S and decided why not. Mind you I had my two kids under the age of 3 and my wife sleeping, so I had to be reasonable about how fast I would take it. After a couple times of hitting 120 mph from 55 mph, he figured out he could not pull away from me. He gave me a confusing thumbs up. So now I am wondering if my Jeep is stock. Any one ever race a Carrera S?

First , What year Carrera S , They are fast actually for a NA 6cyl ..

Looked brand new. Had that wide stance and dual exhaust with quad tips. And it was a soft top. I was impressed considering I had luggage, two adults and two kids weighing me down, I was still able to keep with him when we stepped on it

I dont think Carrera S has wide stance compare to regular Carrera, its 4 or turbo which has wide stance... it could be badged Carrera cabrio.

I do believe you but Carrera S can pull easily against Stock SRT8 on the Freeway.

That's why I am wondering if mine is stock or if its been programmed. Either way I know it was a Carrera of some type and had the wide stance not like the Boxer and it said Carrera S on the back. Maybe he was taking it easy on me.

Pretty sure the 997 version of the S has a wider ass end, quad tips, and red or yellow calipers (yellow if it has carbon brake pkg). They are fast at highway speeds.

I have passed a few of them on the road course before I was S/C'd.

Mine ain't blown nor does it have a cam, exhaust or CAI... Sooooo maybe he was doing enough to stay in front or he can't drive and I'm a bad ass. And there was some but not to much traffic.

Big possibility that he was in the wrong gear.

If he was in the wrong gear, that's his fault. He prob thought you had a blower!

a carrera s has a wider stance, dual exhausts on each side, carrera S on the lid, red calipers and is fast....
