So I have an 08 set cherokee with 32,000 miles, the temp idle is 210, 215 I'll drive out to work at 65 -70 mph, my temp will get up to 230-235, levels are good. Temp tops out at 245. Curious why it's so close to overheating???
Bad t-stat. Or radiator cap or air in the system.
Get a new t stat, cap, burp it good and you should be set. If you really want to step up cooling get a new radiator. Karma racing makes it. I have it and overall temps went way down.
