How is everyone doing? My name is John. To start off im not yet a Srt 8 owner but i will be in a few months. I currently own a 2004 Lancer Evolution, 03 Silverado, 98 Eclipse Gst and a 97 Talon Tsi. I didnt know about Jeep Srt 8's until over a year ago when i was at the track for the first time and got lined up next to a jeep on test n tune. (use to be the dumb kid that raced on the streets but have since moved to the track for racing) And i was shocked when the jeep took off like a rocket to where it made me screw up my launch and everything and i was just in awe of it.
I been building mainly dsm's for about 8 years now but have owned 2 mustangs, a 91 jeep cherokee, s10 that i had bagged and laid frame, a transam etc.. etc.. but mainly dsm's. The reason why i'm not pulling the trigger on gettin an Srt 8 right now is i'm in the middle of the build for my eclipse. I bought the car and then drove it home, stripped it, sanded it did a change of color paint job, put all new completely black interior in, and now im in the process of building the motor. Going to be looking to put down between 7-800hp when done.
I cant wait until i get done with my project so i can get into a Srt. I feel like jumping the gun and going to get one this week but i need to focus on my eclipse and get it done since i know i will be doing mod once i get the Jeep. I look forward to getting to know some of you guys, learning from the forum and hopefully eventually beable to give back.
