Just got the wife a '12 SRT8. She loves it. I'm a car guy...love the exhaust note! Especially for a mommy mobile. LOL

I removed the Grand Cherokee and Jeep Emblems. Goes in next week to have the chrome window trim painted flat black.

Gonna keep an eye out for the tunes coming out for these. Hope it works out as well as her previous car, so far so good.

BTW, this is our other Jeep:

Nice! Congrats. Did you order it or the dealer had one? I'm sure your wife Is happy.

Looks awesome, love that wrangler too. Please post pictures after tint and de-chrominance
Damn that's a gorgeous freaking stable you got there. Also, good work on debadging the jeep and planning on chrome delete. The chrome really sticks out like a sore thumb. What all have you done to the wrangler?

Who said anything about tinting Johnny? Lol

The dealer had it. Pulled it off the showroom.

That picture is actually with the tint. 8% all the way around!

Thanks for the kudos!

Thanks bud!

The Wrangler is an '09. Wife wanted it for a toy a couple of years ago, but it turned more into her making a list of stuff she wanted and me becoming her installer. LOL

Has LOD bumpers and sliders, 2.5" Teraflex lift, 8K lb winch, 35" Goodyear MTK's with XD's, DVD's and more lights than I can count. haha

It's perfectly underpowered so I'll just keep it around for my son (now 5) when he goes to high school. He may get in trouble climbing some stuff but he won't get speeding tickets!
Jeep looks great!! I'm sure she loves it!

What technique did you use to remove the letters without damaging the paint?

Since you're painting the chrome window trim, are you going to paint the chrom grill and the two bottom trapezoid chrome in the front and the chrome in the back too?

Use a heat gun, heat the letter and it'll come right off. Use some 3M adhesive remover for any residue and boom! You're done.

Yes, the chrome trim in the front will be blacked out as well. I really think on a sporty SUV like this that Chrysler would have blacked all that out. Goes in the body shop Monday! I'll post the after pics.

Goes in for headrest DVD's tomorrow. Wife says she wants peace and quiet. LOL
