Need the forums help on a decision
Owned my WK1 since new until last February. Miss it everyday. Sold it to build my dream which is my C6 Z06, no regrets there as the Z is a monster and still gives me goosebumps. Only problem is i live in a city where there is way more foul weather then there is z06 friendly weather and it kills me to look at my investment in the garage more then actually enjoying it.
I decided the only vehicle i would want as of 2012 is the WK2 SRT but i cannot afford both. The jeep would be my daily and my fun vehicle. Best of both worlds. Sure it wont run 10's at almost 140mph like my vette but im sure if its anything like my wk1 was i should be pretty happy. I mean i never once got bored driving my 07 even after 4+ years and 200K.
My question is.... Would you fellow members sell the Z for the Wk2 and eventually get another toy down the road economy permitting. Or, keep the Z as my toy and keep DD my horrible 04 hemi durango lol till i can afford a used Wk2 down the road?

You can turn the wk2 into a 10 second beast, anything is possible with money. I would rather have a z06 over a wk anything but considering your circumstances I would trade it bc why have a 70K investment collecting dust?
I had a guy in my gym that had a Z06 all jazzed & he hit a tree in rainy weather here in SW FL with his girlfriend inside, it split in half and he died instantly while she burned alive.

Why don't you buy a TT 426 WK1 SRT8?

You mean instead of the WK2? So have a TT 426 wk1 as my primary vehicle? That would be amazing no doubt but i would still rather have the WK2Why don't you buy a TT 426 WK1 SRT8?
I would get the WK2. Much better interior, features, and ride quality than the WK1 and better everyday drivability. It is a complete vehicle.

IMO: Sell Z06, buy WK2. Keep Durango for when its nasty out and you dont want to get the WK2 dirty. Otherwise, sell both, buy used WK1 now, wait a year or two and buy a used WK2 as well.

Just get the WK2 and be done with it. Sell the Durango and the Vette and when the time comes and the WK2 can be tuned properly, put a twin turbo in the WK2...then you have the best of both worlds! The longer you keep the rides you don't want the less they will be worth, especially in this economy..Just get the WK2 that you want..Life is short, do it and have no regrets!

I see your from Calgary too. I was born and raised here. LOL its like u guys can read my mind. I test drove a "12 rubicon 6 speed with the pentastar and LOVED it. It was really quick with those 4.10 gears actually. Didnt need to down shift to get up to hi-way speed from 4th.I'd keep the vette and pick up a Wrangler Unlimited with the new pentastar for a DD.

But i would get bored real fast with a Wrangler, just know i would.
And dont kid yourself that a 600wheel big cammed Z06 would make you happier then a WK2. Its a chore driving around a vehicle like that. Always having to keep the rpm's above 2000 so its not bucking and surging your teeth out. $50 a day in gas hurts. And i need $5000 just to get it back on the road for summer between new 2 piece brake rotors/pads and tires.
And the real kicker is our track is closed for good, no more HPDE or 1/4 mile unless i drive 3 hours from here...

I LOVE the looks of the Wrangler unlimited. I drove a 2012 Arctic edition and liked it, however it is no SRT8. I could not imagine driving the wrangler every day. It is slow, takes forever to stop and wanders the road (all comments relative to an SRT8).
