hey guys i recently bought a 08 and it came with a weird tire set up. i don't know much about tire sizes and what all the numbers on the tire wall mean but i am pretty sure the previous owner changed the front tires and not the back since the front are falken 452s and the back are the goodyear run flats

so what i am asking is what is the stock setup for our tires and i am also interested in getting a new set of tires. i like the Vred Ultrac Sessantana but don't know if they are a wise decision since i live in michigan most of the year.

here is my set up right now

front: Falken 452's , 255 / 45/ZR20

back : Goodyear Eagle RSA, 285/4-/ R20

if someone could tell me how 275-40/315-35 setup will differ from what i right now, that would be great

thanks for the help

The setup u have is the stock setup 255/45, 285,40/20...but i believe it's best when all tires match because of difference in tread patterns! The Vreds I heard r great in spring/summer weather but r crap in snow, that's the same reason I didn't get them yet as I live in Chicago and get the same weather as u will in Michigan....most members get the 275/315 setup now because it improves rotation of tires, as they believe it should have came stock like that...hope this helps

One thing with the 275/315 combo is that you have more choices, IE: with the stock 285 rears you don’t have as good selection to choose from, and if you check the 275/315 combo the OD of the tires are closer in diameter than the stock setup and makes your transfer case happy lol, plus the wider meats just look so much better on the rear.
And i agree, the 275/315 combo should have been the stock setup.
