I always take off in 1st wit auto stick. Never went into limp mode..but maybe u need to get ur rev limter rasied?
same here, auto stick in 1st and let the Jeep do the rest.
man... yeah it's done it both times i've tried it... could it be the shift points needing to be raised? but that is normally the best way to launch right?
What year is your Jeep? I'm pretty sure the 2006 won't upshift on its own in autostick unless the computer had been updated by the dealer...

If you're sure its never been updated since new, you would have to take it to the dealer and get them to flash it with the update. Because you have quite a few mods, I don't know if you can drive to the dealer on the stock tune... I kind of doubt it

Maybe if your dealer is mod friendly you can drive there, put it to stock, have them flash it and then re-load your custom tune.

Keep in mind I am no expert on tuning by any means :p I'm sure someone with a bit more knowledge will jump in pretty quick to point out any flaws I might have mentioned :D

EDIT: I just realized you are probably out of warranty anyway... So driving there with your custom tune shouldn't be an issue ;) I'm not 100% sure if you can leave the tune in or not when they flash it though. Someone else will know ;)

CONTACT JOHAN, and explain to him!!!!!
He can fix it in the tune most likely!

You may want to check into a Mopar TCM as well with raised shift points.
You will loose the "AUTO" feature of the auto stick, but you can leave it in DRIVE and
do fine just like I do!
It's the rev limiter in the TCM. The CMR software can't adjust this value.

There are some tune related items that can be tweaked.

yeah i'm emailing Johan today to see what he can do... but i have been looking into the the mopar TCM... but i didn't know you loose the autostick feature...
....what you lose is the AUTOMATIC upshifting when in autostick.

It is actually 100% driver dependent on shifts now when in autostick.

"tell/ask" Johan to review COBRAKID's tune file for how he tweaked my 1st gear rev limit bumping.

good luck.

Get a Mopar TCM...this is ur best Route
So with a 06 its best to leave it in full auto when launching?
yes leave it in D. my 06 will NOT upshift when is 1 (aka autostick) i've had the TCM updated and it still will not. Or, if you're like me, learn when and how to shift it yourself. I've noticed i get better times when i do that. hit the stick over at about 5800 rpms, then it will shift at about 62-6300 since its a bit delayed. 1st gear is tricky sometimes, but the rest are easy

Then they didn't update it correctly. IF it was updated, there's no way it won't auto upshift in Autostick, unless yours running a MTCM. Go back to the dealer.

got an appt monday mornin to have it re-flashed. lets see if it works the 2nd time around
That's weird. I bought my 06 this last summer and it has upshifted on it's own everytime in autostick. The guy before me must have had it done. I heard disabling ESP will make it launch better. Is that true?
yes TC off makes the power distribution more even between the front and rear wheels. 50/50
