Quite a few GM boys w their modded 6.0 silverado's are talking WAY too much trash about draggin everybody's a## down the 1320 and Ive had enough !!! I have a few mods like a 4" Bwoody cai, 160 therm, Corsa Cat back, and a email tune .. Best I've ran in the Oklahoma weather at Tulsa Raceway is a 13.06 but its not enough to hold these GM turds off when they hit the spray .. I've been debating spraying her a while now and I feel the time has come !!! Can some one point me in the right direction for the right set-up ?? Gonna need a tune as well and I wasn't happy w the e-mail tune I've got installed so a good tunner would be great advise as well !!

Thanks for the advise and dont judge me for spraying because I dont want my ego hurt going down the 1320 by these guys lol !!

Two recommendations:

1. Send Johan (diablotoona) an email for custom tuning. Highly recommend him.

2. Get a cam instead of nitrous. The power will always be there, and you won't have to worry about how much "juice" you have left.

Bottles are for babies :grinbiginvert:. But in all seriousness, what are they running in the silverados? What is your time to beat? How much money are you willing to spend? These are questions you should have answers to before you throw money into the jeep. As mentioned above, both Johan and Jerseyboy are great tuners.

Good call on answering question first :) !! These guys will be running anywhere between 12.5 to upper 11's on DR's .. There will a couple that won't mess around ad will likely to hit the 10's !! I'll be dumping money into her for the next few months and when it's all said and done I'd like to stay under the 2k mark .. I would love a cam but haven't seen any cams out there for us that are putting good numbers .. What I mean is I've installed a couple of cams on GM vehicles and they respond really well to them . From what I've seen our 6.1 don't respond like those dang ls engines .. If I could fine an aggressive cam putting down good numbers I wouldn't hesitate to purchase and install her myself !! I'd like to cam, tune, and spray the heck out of her just to show these guys what grocery getters can do !! That or just call young medic to come down here and send them home tails tucked lol. whatttt cams gives u great power even the most small cam liek the lil boy cam.. u get nice gains from it..

Just comparing Us to GM based engines. Seem like they get more bang for the buck plus multiple cam choices .. That's all .. Not trying to ruffle feathers but if I can be proven wrong with some cam spects and hp/tq gains I'd be more than happy to purchase that cam !! :)

Get some spray if you wanna hang with / or beat them and not spend a ton of $.

If you can afford it, I would suggest getting a blower and smoke them any day of the week. They will shut up if you slap a vortech on there and run low 11`s all day.

There are plenty of great cam options out there that you will see great gains from. PWR, FRI, PPP, Inertia etc. are some of the favorite companies on here that have proven camshafts with significant gains for our jeeps. As SRT MANA said, with a cam dialed in with a good CMR tune you can see mid to low 12's.

I love my jeep and the way it runs now but I would love to have an equalizer when it came to the 1320 !! I'm very competitive but also a good sport and get along w all the fellow hp junkies but when my little pig gets out there and puts one on their little cammed 6.0's it kinda makes my day and I have braggin rights till the next time we go out !!! I've heard stories of peeps putting a good tune and a 200 shot on a stock block and having zero issues and running mid to low 11's. Not wanting to run a 200 shot but Im actually want to hit a 100 off the line and progress to 150-175 shot. Is that a good idea or too much for a stock block and trans ?? Thanks for all the help so far guys !!

Cool, maybe one of these days I can make it up there. We have a couple club members up there but only one of them has a Jeep, red I believe it is. They are coming down to Norman for Cars and Coffee this saturday, I will tell them to keep an eye out for ya.

Again, I am not try to stray you away from or towards any particular option, but what happens when your friends ask you to race from a dig on the highway or something like that? Will you just spray on the street as well? I gurantee at some point in time this will happen. Just keep that in mind. GL with your decision.

Once again I'm very competitive but not immature so if someone wants to race on the street in our town it has to be perfect conditions and completely safe so yeah if someone calls me out they best believe there gonna have to back it up lol ..
