This is mainly for showing of at late afternoon/night car meets or shows. Its not really practical for mid day as its not bright enough to see clearly. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics

A few other colors just to show its capability's

A short video showing it transitioning thru some of the colors

Love the look of the blue. What product did you use and where are the lights located at?

Thats cool!
Who makes that neon kit? Did you mount a switch for it in the cabin?

I wonder how well it will hold up to the elements and the hot track days in the middle of the summer.

Neon kit whats a neon kit?
Im using an exterior RGB LED light strip. It comes in 15-16' with a small control box and a IR remote

As far as holding up to the heat only time will tell but so far so good

Very nice. Would be cool for shows etc.
That was my main motivation for it, going to a evening car meet with crappy lighting and having to break ou the flashlight when people want to check out whats under the hood. Although looking at it now Im tempted to just pull the hood off and drive it around that way.

To the OP,
Is there any way you can show exactly where you mounted the LED strips or give an ample explanation?

Looks good :D.

I was initially going to go colorshift on my jeep but changed my mind and decided on solid color......just need to get around to installing it all.
I originally was just going to do white to have a little under hood lighting but I am so glad I went the extra mile with the RGB. It just give you such a broader range of color options. The color shift mode is really cool and anyone who has seen it is blown away by how cool it looks even the non car people

I worked really hard to mount them in such a way that you just see more of a glow than any direct lighting

I have it in five different places
On the lower back side of the strut bar
Inside the fan shroud
Inside on the top of the front upper grill facing down
On the top of the actual metal bumper facing up as far forward as possible so you cannot see it looking down into the grill
And last I was going to put it on the lower side of the metal bumper but it was reflecting bad in the paint of the lower grill area so I placed it at the very bottom of the lower grill right up against it facing up, There is enough space there to hide it without it showing

I also worked hard to hide and blend the wiring in so its hard to spot. I would bet that even a jeep guy that didn't know I had them would not notice anything unusual if they where turned off.

Where did you get all the lights at? I really need to meet up with you. Are you traveling to Bradenton? I'm probably leaving Thursday afternoon.

Lights=Ebay

Bradenton=Not 100% sure yet, would probably leave early Fri but not running my jeep.

When will you get your Jeep back? I hit up the last few Sir Pizza meets
I get back from Michigan next Friday and it looks like it should be close to done that weekend. Definitely before Bradenton
