i just had my bearing damaged my mechanic tell me that if i grind the Crank shaft 10 above standard that it will affect my performance??
is that true or should i replace the crankshaft with new one?
plz guys am in a hurry i need to make a decision before tomorrow,the crankshaft it self will cost me 1000$ + here to expansive but if i grind it it will be more less.
but the most important that i dont want anything to affect in performance ?

That is a standard procedure. I have not had a Chrysler crank ground for an oversize bearing but I had a 428 HO Pontiac done many years ago and it is still running fine.
