My Jeep sits for the majority of the winter. I went to empty my catch can and this was sitting in the bottom. It's very brittle. Almost looks like old gasket material but not sure where that would have come from or how it would have got to the catch can. Any ideas? Engine is a HHP 426 stroker.

Hmmm... how many miles on your car? What hoses are you running on your can? It could be that your hoses are deteriorating from having oil sitting in them over the winter?..

Just make sure you catch can hoses are rated for oil/chemicals. Some hoses have it printed on the hose.

It's a Billet Technologies catch can. They use PTFE hoses. I checked them anyway and they are not deteriorating.

Someone has replaced probably the rocker covers gaskets and didn't care about were the old gaskets ended up 🤯 hopefully the catch can will get it all for you ,but if you ever lose oil pressure you know what it is 👍 good luck 🙏
