So long story short, my battery died the other day and the dealer took care of it for me, but after it died, we jumped it, and the easy entry/exit stopped working. I just picked it up and it still isnt working. i found the reset procedure, but its not working. I want to make sure im doing it right:

jeep off, key out
move all the way forward til it stops
move all the way back til it stops
move forward slightly
get in and it should work

this doesnt seem to work, but maybe there is an aspect im not doing right. any ideas? thanks guys.

Is the option still enabled in the EVIC?

Try pushing the memory button on the door. My wife's stopped working & than started again. I think that's what I did but not sure.

If the memory is gone the Easyout/in will not know where to go to set the memory again and it should work .

Yeh not really sure what I did to make it work again. Was just throwing it out there. I moved it to vac & it stopped working. Than played with all kinds of different things to make it work again. Could have been something loose under the seat for all I know, but somehow I fixed hers & its worked fine since.

If the seat is to far back it disables the feature. If its 0.9" from the rear stop it won't work. Not sure if this is related to your issue.

As for the reset procedure, if it's like the auto windows you press and hold for a few seconds at each stop. Noticed you just said moved forward and back.

i tried this every way i could think of. jeep running, option turned off in the EVIC, hold for a few seconds in each direction, turn back on, still didnt work. i eventually called the dealer and they said they would take care of it for me since it happened when my battery died. of course i dont want to drop the jeep off AGAIN, so they said its cool to wait a little while before i bring it back.

any way, thanks for the help everyone.

From other forums they say run the seat back and hold for like 4-6 seconds, then forward and hold, then back and hold, then forward and hold. Then see if it reset. Else disconnect the battery again for like 15 minutes, or see if there is a fuse you can pull.

Try the forward-back movement 3x in a row
