I forgot to mention, a few days ago I decided to pull out the catch can, 200 miles distance I figure, about 3-4 capfuls of oil came out (plastic coke bottle caps). When looking in the bottom of the catch can, I noticed brass particles rolling around in the oil, can't be the brass fittings I cleaned everything before installing. Has to be from the bottom end, nice. The oil looks clean, very clean, and I haven't had any more exhaust puffs of oil since the can was installed, it runs just fine.

The oil I'm using, Mobil 0w40 european formula, has the api sm/cf rating, does not show one for the chrysler ws-xxx-xxx rating though, trying to find out if there's a different 0w40. I'm also using a Donaldson filter.
What's your take on this, didn't expect to see brass in there!

It HAS to be the fittings on the catch can, when the TB was removed and I soaked up the oil in the manifold there was no brass, it was just oil. Once pressure was put through the lines it must of dumped in the bottom of the can.... I hope none worked it's way in the intake........

I'm 99% sure i is from the inlet fitting on the catch can, some brass chewed of when tightening against the aluminum, which means soe brass was floating in the catch can when under crankcase pressure, and I di my hoses backwards......... how much went in the intake I'll find out. My mech is ding some CSI Vanderhoof, LOL.

^ hopefully thats the case, otherwise i dunno where that would be coming from, some bearings as sking said maybe??? haha least it isnt gold, then it'd be real valuable lol ;) j/k buddy you'll get it fixed

All was fine, it was from the brass fitting on the catch can. Intake was clean, oil was spotless, as was oil filter when cut open. All good........... kinda dissappointed, if things were FUBAR'd I could of done a stroker early with Andy!
