What: To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Mopar, Chrysler Group LLC will reveal four Mopar-modified vehicles. Vehicles will be on display at next month’s 2012 Chicago Auto Show.

There may be something diesel-related there or the Chicago show to be announced (come on Cummins V8 for the 1500!!)

Ford and Chevy have a lot of press going on right now with the ZL1, and the new 2013 680hp Mustang. Chrysler has yet to step up to the plate as far as any word of a performance model that could even come close to these. The Viper doesn't count either due to it's 6 figure price tag, so..........maybe?

I think a Cummins V8 for the 1500 would be a waste of time... the 6.7 is already the revised platform, and you'd have a hard time getting the Inline-6 crowd to embrace, what in my opinoin, is an inferior diesel engine design. Straight-6's have nothing but advantages over V-8s.... putting a smaller V-8, in a truck that is dimensionally identical to the 2500/3500, with less beefy axles, that STILL carries the same taxes and surcharges that diesels do, does little to carry the heavy-duty truck crowd into the light truck market.

I think its the Viper... but if they S/C the Hemi line we're in for some fun.

First i highly doubt they are going to reveal the Viper online, second why would mopar reveal the viper? The viper is part of SRT now.

I heard that the Viper was to be debuted at the New York Autoshow in the spring.

I'm betting its just some hopped up "track" vehicles...kinda like that Jeep SRT "ACR" we all saw pics of awhile back. In which case.....I'd be f'in PISSED if I just bought a '12 SRT8.
