Buying Jeep On Ebay

Looking at a rig on ebay. Its pretty local but with the way things are working out, I doubt I'll be able to make an offer before the listing expires. Does anyone have any experience buying a car on ebay? Thoughts/Comments appreciated.

The best place IMO is to buy a car on the forum. Cars on the forums are usually well taken care of by enthusiasts like you, you also can get a good history on it as well..Unless it is dirt cheap, why chance it?

If it is a private seller why not get their info & contact them after it expires. Than you can counter with a lower price since it didn't sell when it was listed. Or just buy from here, best bet, IMO

i bought my jeep off ebay..knew the builder and knew who the previous owner was but had to drive 15 hrs to pick it up when it was built 10mins away from me loll...also i know a lot of people buy offline just make sure its good and check it out before buying it!
Im not worried about the car not being taken care of, its low mileage, adult owned and Ive spoken to the owner. It looks like it probably will wind up selling so I wont be able to offer outside of ebay.
If it feels right to you, go for it. A guy on this forum was selling his 2009 with 7,500 miles in detroit and I live in chicago. I had a good feeling about it and a lot of people thought i was an idiot but I bought the car without even seeing it and drove to get it. So far everything is great! I picked up a fully loaded 2009 back in april of 2011 with an extended warranty for a great price. I can actually sell it now for more than what i paid for it. Do what feels right.

Sounds like I wouldn't worry one bit.

Bought my SRT from a guy here very well taken care of and smooth transaction. I also sell most of my auto parts on the forums I'm in. It almost feels like I know some of these guys without ever meeting them :D Never bought a car off Ebay but I would'nt be afraid to.
