Just stumbled on this post, but wish I found it a year ago… my front calipers started peeling back then but I fixed the problem myself. I removed my wheels and cleaned of the flaking clear coat with a scotchbrite pad. I also roughed up all visible surface with the pad to help the new paint adhere. I then masked everything off and cleaned the surfaces with paint prep spray. I finished off with a few light coats of clear high temp engine enamel.

Be careful with the scotchbrite pads. The factory paint can be thin on some areas…especially corners, and the “BREMBO” logo. Use just enough pressure to remove the flakeyness and rough up the surface.

One year and no peeling! I guess one advantage to fixing it myself is I won’t have to replace it under warranty every few years since it seems to be a common problem with Brembo clear coat.

and btw, I have RB 2 piece rotors on all four corners!
