Ok guys/gals I need some help here. Had the SRT for 2 days and the wife hates the sound. It has the Borla s with reso delete. Any ideas to quiet it down? Can I add the resonators? What is a quiter exhuast? I like the sound but gotta please the wife.

I'll look into the Corsa. I heard something about putting venturis on the Borla to cut down the drone. Does that work?

Im not sure about that bro.. I neva tried dat.. Im tryin make my borla loader by adding headers n cut outs lol.

I just watched some vids of the BB and Corsa. I like the BB better. They both seem quiet compared to the Borla s. I dont want to spend 1K + on a new system though.
I told the wife to wear the head set for the dvd to lessen to drone lol.
How about Magnaflow? Also, where is a good place to buy if I did get a new exhaust.

One system that hardly ever gets talked about that I've been running since I bought the Jeep is the Magnaflow. It's got a great sound to it. Not too loud, not too quiet... jsut right. I removed my reso's once for about 1.5 years. Once I put the cam in it was insanely loud. Put them back on. The reso's removed is definitely crazy on a Borla. I'd start by putting them back on. If that's too loud still, sell it and look at the Magnaflow. My wife loved my Jeep when I first bought it. You should be able to sell that Borla system pretty easily on here to a member. Just spoke with Borla. He said to add part #40842s to where resonators were. Said it will still be loud but cut back the drone. So for $175 each what do you guys think? Do these resonators have to be welded together?

FWIW, I don't think only putting the reso's back on your Borla is going to do enough to please your wife. I had the Borla 'S' for a while and even with the reso's the drone became too much for me. I had Borla send me the venturis also, and that really didn't change much. I ended up selling the system and put together my own setup with a 12599 magnaflow muffler. good luck!

Out of these what would you pick: Mangnaflow, BB or Corsa? Or if you have a custom setup what is it?

Ok how about this. Putting Magnaflow muffler part #12599 where the Borla resos are (both front and rear resos) and keeping the same pipes? Would that work? Or just put in the Magnaflow in the front and keep the Borla in the rear?

I'm trading my jeep in with my borla, got my stock system packed and ready to ship. I have no use for it anymore. I'll cut you a deal to get it off my hands. Off my 07 ~40k miles on the exhaust.

She does like a turbo. I had an 05 Cummins pushing 55lbs and she never complained about it. Just dont want to go the turbo route on the Jeep though.

The B&B is great plus it's a 3 inch diameter, compared to 2.75 for the others.

I have the magnaflow cat back and I love it. No Drone on the highway at all. I tried the muffler only route but it was just to quiet. I found the magnaflow setup for a lot less then the other kits so it was a win win.
