Anyone else out there?

I just wanna say right off the bat to avoid any confusion that I don't have a WK2 or WK1.

But I just wanted to know if there's anyone else out there who isn't an owner also reads this forum as frequently and jealously as I do. I come here at least a few times a week just to see if there are any new reviews to read or pictures/videos to salivate over. I know some claim they're not the flashiest looking vehicles on the road, and maybe they won't get the immediate respect or attention that they deserve, but seriously these Jeeps are absolutely stunning to look at. Oh, they're also SRT-8s with 470hp? I don't even know what to say. Just reading about being launched into the perfectly molded seats, the incredible panoramic, and jaw dropping sound system is the most painful self-induced torture I've ever experienced, yet I still can't help but come back. Please keep posting pictures because I need to continue getting my fix somehow. I've seen a ton of WK2s on here from the NY area, so it's even more surprising to me that I haven't yet seen one in my North Jersey area. Insufficient updates and new pics might just cause me to veer off the road in shock when I finally do get a chance to lay my eyes upon one in person.

i was a member before being an owner i was actually looking at srt10 rams and this site came up on a google search for srts not sure i was even aware there wasa jeep srt8 anyways after reading up on them and seeing pics especially of the interior, as compared to the ram. i was sold, being i was already an owner of an xj it just made sense to keep it jeep, no regrets.
I just got mine yesterday. I intend for some pix an YouTube vids. You can live vicariously through that. Thanx

CC88 I feel your pain...

I am not currently an owner though hopefully soon as I've had my on order since the first of July. I too am looking for all the do's and don'ts when I get mine...I want a few minor modifications to 'make it mine', but nothing too extravigant that it is un-drivable in the winter and when it rains. I've owned SRT vehicle before and each time I absolutely loved them..the feeling I get at WOT and the rumble that raises the hair on my neck was enough for me to order an SRT8 Jeep without ever driving a WK1. I am sure the Jeep will put boht my 04 SRT10 and my 06 SRT8 Charger to shame on launches and corners...

the only part I am regretting is ordering late...I've had a vin for 5 weeks and still the vehicle has not launched down the production line...the wait is killing me!!!
I have never had one, still cant afford one, but I have never loved a vehicle as much.

And I have been on here almost 5 years:D

I'm right there with ya. i come on this site multiple times a day and i don't even own a jeep yet. i also creeped around for about a year before i ending up becoming a member. I'm just waiting it out a few more months to pick up a wk2. plan on ordering or if there are some around ill just pick one up in march.
I would love to own one of these WK1/2 Jeeps one day! I would get a lift kit and some muddin' tires and go play in the dirt all day! After all, it is a Jeep right?

Lol :p

I would love to have one though all jokes aside, I can only imagine the looks you big HP guys get when you spank that asss....
I come to this site multiple times a day, I have a 2007 5.7 and dream everyday of owning an srt. I will own one some day
I fell in love as soon as I saw the original commercial with the green and yellow birds. I joined here in 2006 but was really a lurker until I bought a 2009 on Halloween of 2008. I had to wait until I could afford one. I have to admit it was often hard to be patient. I ordered one from the factory through a dealership here in Illnois that went out of business before it was delivered. I got over it and found one on a lot that another guy had ordered and backed out. I wanted silver but when I saw the sun hit the brilliant black paint I had to have it. All of your patience and waiting will be WELL worth it. Three years later I still love it and there is no other vehicle out there I want more. Until then I will just keep going in the WK1...58k plus miles and counting

Sounds like you had one ordered with me:eek:

I had near 30 factory orders in with deposits when those idiots decided to close the doors
Been drooling over the srt jeep since 2007, hopefully I can get my hands on one next year, when the price is right :D

Actually you were on a road trip at the time delivering one to a new customer out east and I was impatient to wait for you to return home. I forget the guys name who I talked to but wasn't his fault either! I feel for you having to lose your job like that. Glad you found a new gig!

John
I am a WK1/WK2 non-owner and I check this forum every day. I have been a fan for the past two years and now I am a fanatic. My wife thinks I am going crazy and she is right. I will be getting my WK1 or WK2 next year!!!

Makes two of us!!
I've been a lurker and member since '08 and just picked up my 1st SRT8 a little over a month ago!
I too am a lurker. I have been tracking all the rumors since they started on the WK2 w/ full intentions of grabbing one when they were released. I love my current non-SRT GC, runs like a champ, but it's an '01 and I'm approaching 90K miles on it. My wife has told me to upgrade to the WK2 SRT whenever I'd like......then the price was released (+$15K mark-up out here), and now I have cold feet. Guess I'll see what happens in 6mo to a yr.

I was a lurker for awhile until I picked up my '09 in September. Haven't changed my screen name in tribute to my old beast of a ride. The V was more fun with the 6 speed but the Jeep fits my needs better now.
