I really want to buy the vreds since everybody is running them and talks about how vast the ride quality is improved. It's just not the best financial move for me to drop 1000 on tires right now, when there are other options for around 600. Like the hankooks. For about 800 I can get the 275/315 Toyos as well.

I understand the value of good tires so I'm willing to spend the extra money if everyone thinks the vreds are leaps and bounds better.

Depends which ones. Had RHO6 in 275/45/20 on my old GC Limited, and loved them. Were really good in snow, too.

They are the Ventus V12's I think. I ran them on my old evo and they were decent tires, not very loud, pretty comfy.

In AL, so snow isn't much of a concern, but we get a fair amount of rain.

I run hankooks on my STi and they perform great .. for the cherokee I would highly suggest the Toyo - seem to perfrom far better in all conditions.

but The Hankooks would serve as a suitable "budget buy" IMO
