Unless you plan on porting your intake manifold, you really aren't going to see any gains. The throttle body opening on the stock manifold is only 80mm..........Think of the manifold opening as a doorway, and the TB is a door...........putting on a bigger door, without increasing the size of the doorway isn't going to do anything at all.
87mm tb
Iam looking at getting the 87mm tb. Other than the 3mm difference in the 90mm tb will it work on stock intake mani. with a bwoody 4in?? Is it worth it???

Not sure but i think U need to get ur mani ported n match it to 87 to get full hp gain.
The 87mm will fit on the stock manifold and it will fit the Bwoody 4", as that is what I had on there. They are right though, to take full advantage of it, you should get your intake ported, but it won't hurt you if you don't. I did them separate and then when I got a good deal, I had the intake ported.
Since we are on TBs...I too am on the fence on what TB and Port size to go with...I was told profesionally that for the 85mm TB and port to the 90mm TB and Port there isnt to much of a gian...is this correct?
Gains are really minimal from 87 to 90mm. You may see more gains on forced induction, but that's it. I ran the same times as guys with the 90mm and the same set-up as mine. I think you'll only notice it at big power levels.
