2wd Dyno

1900 Views 10 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Blown-WK
A local dyno shop is haveing a charity event. They are doing 3 pulls for $40 but the dyno is 2wd only. So in order to participate what do I have to do? I think all I have to do is pull the front driveshaft and unplug the transfer case motor. Is this correct?? And besides from a CEL will I experience any other problems?

TCase motor out, dyno mode nd that's it. Driveshaft stays
^^^^What he said.....
leave the driveshaft alone.
So simply unplug the tcase motor, unbolt it and pull it out. Will I have any fluid leakage or any loose parts that could fall out. Any pictures on this process?

Yep that's it. Takes less than 5 minutes to pull it out. There is 4 bolts that hold it on and it pulls straight out. No fluid will leak out since its sealed.

Make sure to disconnect that electrical connector first though as it will make it easier.... Then unbolt the (4) 10 mm bolts....
I have been reading some other post and notice some people are saying not to start the pull until 3rd gear. Can I not leave it in drive and just hit the gas?? Can someone tell me the steps for dyno mode via the predator and whether I still need to turn off traction control from inside even in dyno mode??
Under performance menu, go to quick adjust then ESP, choose dyno mode. It will turn all the ABS,ESP.....ETC.
Do the pulls during 4th gear for a more accurate HP/TQ reading for it's 1 to 1 gearing ratio on 4th.
Or have the operator to the pulls for you and tell him to do it on 4th.
Awesome im going to do my first dyno soon too that helps a lot!
Can you run dyno mode on the track or will it have bad effects??
