2012 SRT8 Interior, Black only? Really?

The new GC SRT8 would be great if it had the GC Overland interior. Black only? Come-0n Jeep, ya ever been in a vehicle with a black interior when the sun is out? It also shows dust and lint all the time. Not everyone wants a "guido look". Even bringing back the grey interior would be better.

Agreed! I am so over black! If they put the red srt interior in the Jeep I would consider a new silver with red interior! I love my grey in my 07!
Boys I completely disagree, I think the black interior in the wk1 looks so much better than the grey
red would be sweet
Indeed options would be nice. I would think about the peanut butter interior from the overland.

I think we all can agree, if we must dish out this kind of money for one sweet ride we should have some options! Surely atleast the options that are allready available should be an option! I ordered my first brand new vehicle from Dodge in 94, they offered all kids of options from different interiors to two tone paint etc. No you spend three times the money and dont get to build them the way we want them. Just a question for all who have ordered? Whenever I ordered a Chrysler or Dodge product the window sticker always said made for and had my name in it. I thought that was cool! Do they still do that?

Except it isn't black, it's slate grey.

Yes, they still add the "built for ...." to the window sticker (can't remember exactly what it said but it was in the top right corner)
The new Durango RT interiors are nice... black with red piping is one of the options.
Yes, options would be nice. But I'm not complaining with the black...
The SRT has always had like zero interior color options, the all slate-grey interior is supposed to be the SRT-specific. It comes from what the SRT was originally supposed to be, that is, a trim package in and of itself.

I agree that the Overland Interior is by far nicer and has more options, and without getting into the price debate, again, the SRT takes second place.

But if they're going to justify the much higher market demographic in the futre, they're going to have to dump the 'SRT trim' attitude to satisfy their new clients, who want the same options the bimmer and benz guys have, which is to mix and match their own high-end creations.
How is having black interior being a "guido"? Never heard this one before...

I think Fonzie had a black jacket....

I believe that you do have 1 option as far as the interior.......black leather with suede inserts (which the vast majority of us WK2 owners have) or all black leather.

I do agree that there should be more color choices. One upside with the black of course is that it hides dirt better than other colors. (and the suede inserts absorbs extreme temperatures very well....good for your butt!).

My biggest complaint with the interior, however, are the seats.....not enough cushioning and not enough adjustments, esp. with the side bolsters. The foam in these seats seem to be of very cheap quality and deforms way too easily. It would've been nice if Jeep offered something like Recaro seats as part of the SRT trim.

Shut up!
I love the black interior. It Trumps the grey interior of the wk1. Its much more classy. I think customizations should be left with the overland and the lesser. These are all customized seats and to make them in different options would probably cost more and then it would be just the same as the lesser models. I love the exclusivity.
