Didn't see this here yet so here it is:

First Drive Review:

Looks like this is a ~$40k upgrade? to the same platform as the wk2 Jeep, we'll see once pricing is announced.

Like the rear exhaust, wondering if the wheels will fit... wondering what the weight difference is attributed to (5005 vs 5300ish), engine? old MB trans?

Quote:
Compared to the BMW X5 M and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, the 5,005-pound ML63 AMG with the AMG Performance Package is the most powerful SUV out there (the BMW technically has five more horsepower, but it lacks 60 pound-feet of torque), yet it fails being the sportiest. We suspect the comparatively lightweight Porsche (4,784 pounds), with its torque-vectoring drivetrain, variable torque split and lightweight ceramic brakes, will still set the quickest lap with the brawny but powerful track-tuned BMW (5,368 pounds) right on its tail.

No mention of the Jeep...

Good looking MB, and nice performance numbers too.

No mention of the Jeep...
Not surprised?
Looks like a great ride for a wife...not that "manly" looking...

Great powertrain in a ugly SUV...

Why should there be? The GC SRT8 is in another class, regardless of how Chrysler chooses to price it.
That's just estimated safe Performance numbers this SUV is a rocket ship , wait and see the numbers it will lay down . As for the JEEP its simply not in the same category .

The GF drives a white one ..I have to agree that's its by no means a manly car but I do often find myself behind the wheel

+1 Chrysler is still years behind benz .. the first 10 minutes behind the wheel of an AMG and you will have zero doubts of that ! especially in sport mode ;)

This is exactly my intial reaction.....looks like a soccer mom vehicle, almost minivan-esque
maybe "mom" looking, but light years ahead of the WK2, just know moms driving this are gunna knock the WK2 back off the line haha
Good power! Doesn't look like a manly vehicle tho, as others have said.

Or a great ride for the mom in my shoes... LOL
