Aren't WOT 0-60 runs supposed to be avoided until engine break in is done? (500 miles).
The salesman told me to do it lol.Aren't WOT 0-60 runs supposed to be avoided until engine break in is done? (500 miles).
I am seriously considering it. I'll have the talk with my wife tonight.Truck does look great in that color though, hmm are you itching to pull the trigger?
unless you got every option, $60,700 is not the treadlightly price. You are price protected and would get 1% below that invoice (even though affiliate is not offered, but lets say it was). On Mine with Lux 2, Pano roof, and SRT audio that puts treadlightly pricing at $56915. They are offering affiliate (1% below invoice) because they aren't really giving you affiliate (because they can't, not allowed by Chrysler). They are going to claim the sale to Chrysler with the price protection code and .....profitz!!!My order has just arrived at Ron Carter. I cancelled my order when the MSRP debacle hit, but they called to just let me know it was there. Nice marketing technique. They also stated over the phone they would still honor the affiliate pricing. I guess they are not selling like hotcakes...
I'll be honest. I almost pulled the trigger, but I still can't stomach the price. With tread lightly pricing it is still $60,700 which makes the otd price just under $65,000.
If anyone is interested contact Joel Norton and he will honor the affiliate pricing.
Oh. And he let me test drive it. Out of three attempts in 43 degree weather 0-60 times were 5.0, 4.9 and 4.9. Not too shabby.
I saw the invoice. The sticker is $64,870. The affiliate pricing is $60,700 or so.unless you got every option, $60,700 is not the treadlightly price. You have price protection as you had your order in before Aug 10. Those are the new prices. If they were truly giving you 1% below your price protected invoice price, you would pay: $57,888.27 + Tax/title/reg.I saw the invoice. The sticker is $64,870. The affiliate pricing is $60,700 or so.
Hrrm. I may ask for that price. Does the dealer have to accept that price? You have price protection as you had your order in before Aug 10. Those are the new prices. If they were truly giving you 1% below your price protected invoice price, you would pay: $57,888.27 + Tax/title/reg.
Thus, they are doing as I said, not giving you "affiliate", and would go and claim the price protection code 27EC1 and get there extra profit.
P.S. You related to Bob?
They do not have to honor it, but if they choose not to I would never want to buy a vehicle from a dealer who is blatantly telling you to bend over and shove it. But remember, they cannot give you that price, Affiliate is not allowed and they will not be reimbursed, so you cannot expect them to give it. But you can expect them to give you price protected invoice which is around $580 more.Hrrm. I may ask for that price. Does the dealer have to accept that price?
And yes. Bob is my father's distant uncle.
I still wouldnt even pay MSRP, there seems to be plenty of people on the forums paying invoice.A Deep Cherry one has been sitting at a local (San Diego) dealer for the last week. Marked at $15K over. Got an email from the sales guy the other day offering it to me for "only" $1K over. First one I've seen less than $15K over so far.........waiting......................
