Information for Participants and Spectators

WHAT IS THE LX & BEYOND NATIONALS?

Founded in 2008, and based in Ohio, the LX & Beyond Nationals is the ONLY drag racing, car show and entertainment event in the United States completely dedicated to the Modern MOPAR Muscle and Performance vehicles. A grassroots event that began in Spring '07, as a meet-and-greet in a restaurant parking lot in Columbus, OH.

This annual event hosts hundreds of die-hard enthusiasts and aftermarket manufacturers from California to New York, from Canada and everywhere else in-between. Enthusiasts interested in showing off their cars, testing its performance limits on the 1320 and learning what is new and available in the aftermarket attend this event every year. The event is open to the public and dedicated to the continued growth of the car hobby. If you own an LX/LC/LD-platform or any SRT performance vehicle (or in the market to purchase one) this is an event you want to attend and see what the cars and the culture associated with owning one is all about.

This event has two purposes, which we firmly stand behind:

  • Provide an industry-leading event for the modern Mopar commmunity that is exciting, dynamic and unlike other automotive events
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the car hobby, by bringing together modern Mopar musclecar and performance vehicle enthusiasts from across the country in a family-oriented atmosphere. This includes the aftermarket manufacturers, vendors and frontiers that support these vehicles.
The LX & Beyond Nationals continues to grow each year because it's a necessary alternative to owning a late-model Mopar (LX/LC/LD-platform or SRT) and being put into the corner of other "All-Chrysler", "All Hemi" or "All-Mopar" events. These cars deserve their own spotlight and time to shine. Since our beginning, attendees have graced the pages of some of the industry-leading magazines including: Mopar Action, Mopar Muscle, Performance Auto & Sound, Domestic Driver, Mopar Enthusiast and Urban Racer Magazine.

We are MOPAR enthusiasts just like you and enjoy being apart of this family/culture; and owning an "LX & Beyond" vehicle. In addition to the looks and performance, the camaraderie of owning one is what fuels our passion for creating this event each year. We look forward to seeing you at the 2011 LX & BEYOND NATIONALS!

Get ready for 4th Annual LX & Beyond Nationals!!!

Lost of updates to post up soon. I apologize for the lack of posts up to this point. There has been a lot of work going on behind the scenes that have kept me busy and offline the past few weeks. Cliff Notes version: track auctioned, looked for a new location; hotels; etc, track sold to someone interested in keeping it as a race facility :rocker:, waited for paperwork to finalize, reserved hotels, reserved date with track, Modern Street HEMI Shootout Series details finalized, etc.

Needless to say its been a busier than usual off-season. Now its time to get some trash talking going on and get ready for some fun. Stay tuned to your favorite forums and the 2011 LX & Beyond Nationals threads. I got a whole bunch of updates to post up. Its gonna be a kick ass 2011!!! :bigthumb:

2011 LX & Beyond Nationals: T-Shirt Car Submissions

We are putting together t-shirts for the 2011 LX & BEYOND NATIONALS which will once again be designed by the top notch crew at Excel Sportswear. Starting today thru February 17, we would like to extend the opportunity for any (LX/LC/LD or SRT) attending the event this year to have their ride featured on the Official 2011 Event T-Shirt. Check out the entries from the previous 3 years here.

We will need the following by the deadline:
  • 3 High Resolution pics (side profile, 3/4 profile, front profile) taken with a digital camera
  • Hood/trunk should be closed, but doors can be open (or raised)
  • Pics can be parked, burnouts, etc. Give us the BEST pic of your ride
  • Send photos to [email protected]
  • Pics requested no later than: February 17, 2011
In exchange for selection your ride as a feature vehicle on the 2011 LX & Beyond Nationals T-Shirt you will receive the following:

  • 1 FREE, 2011 LX & Beyond Nationals T-Shirt (Your choice of size)
  • 1 FREE, Car Show and/or Racing Entry into the 2011 Event (Car/Driver Only - Not Transferrable)
This is an awesome opportunity to have your ride hand-drawn and worn by Modern Mopar Muscle and performance enthusiasts around the globe. *There is a 2 year moratorium on all previous cars used on the event t-shirt. This applies to the car only, not the owner.

Looking forward to seeing some awesome pics!

Each vehicle will be featured on the 2011 LX & Beyond Nationals T-Shirt and they will receive the following:

  • 1 FREE, 2011 LX & Beyond Nationals T-Shirt
  • 1 FREE, Car Show and/or Racing Entry into the 2011 Event (Car/Driver Only)
Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you to everyone that participated. This is an awesome opportunity to have your ride hand-drawn by the world-class artists at Excel Sportswear and worn by Modern Mopar Muscle and performance enthusiasts around the globe. Not to mention you are part of a select few that have been featured on previous 2008-2010 shirts. There were a total of 32 entries this year so it took a little bit longer than expected to sort thru them all. Tons of cool cars to choose from, unfortunately we can not put everyone on the shirt but rest assured we will be doing the same again next year!!!

Shirts will be available prior to the event and more details on ordering will be available soon.

All vendors that have not contacted me or forwarded your logos need to do so ASAP.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in July!

Saturday we will be done at the track by 5pm. Event then moves to Quaker Steak & Lube near the Host Hotel. There will be lots of racing going on still on Sunday if that's what you want to see and some show and meet & greet folks should still be around too.

Thanks for posting Brian. I'm always last to book a hotel, so looks like I should call now a book one incase I go. So are these different hotels than last year?

I remember I wasn't at the host hotel last year, but they were literally in the same parking lot.

Can we get a list started of who all's going OP?

Oh come on, get the build started and make the trip! Hotel is on me... :)

Know where Lou's "Lou1355" car went after auction?

As some of you know Lou's car went through Barrett Jackson and was sold. Many of us were wondering where/who purchased the car.

Well I found out it is in Ohio at either a GM dealer or some type of GM parts warehouse. The new owner is a large Pro Charger dealer and really like the crazy Pro Charger set up Lou did..

So Lou's car is in a show room sitting on display. Hopefully it will get out someday and do what it was supposed to do. "Kick some a$$" :) I know that car was never ran to its full potenial.. Anyways,,

Best of luck to the new buyer. Im sure it will be taken care of..:)
Could be here:
Home | GM Performance Center

If so, they are only 15-minutes from the LX Nationals event. Wouldn't that be cool if we could get the owner and the car to the event?!
For those who are new here and don't know about The Hell*****:

Update: Just got off the phone (yesterday) with the owner of the vehicle. They will be bringing it to the 2011 LX & Beyond Nationals. More details to follow....
