My car is constantly spewing coolant over my engine bay. From what I gather is pretty normal, but leaves a white residue I have to constantly clean. Thats likely not a issue for you.
Hmm, sounds like they may have never changed any fluids. The creaking noise may be the t-case ingaging, or it could also be it giving out. But if you say it drives smooth and only made that noise when they reversed it out, I wouldn't imagine it to be serious, unless it is everytime it is being reversed. But seeing that the wheels are curbed, engine bay has never been cleaned, sounds like a car to stay away from since you don't know much about it.I drove a 2008 tonight with 31k on it and when the dealer backed out of the spot i heard a creaking noise. I heard it once again when he pulled fwd. Sounded like it was coming from the rear axle area. When i looked under the hood it looked like lots of salt residue was left on the block and undernieth the hood itsself. Aside from every wheel having major rash and one center cap badly chipped away at, the truck seemed to drive smooth. Does anyone have an idea of what that sound might have been? Sorry for the noob question but im not mechanically inclined.
Thanks
You need to get the locking cap, or you can bend the tabs on the current coolant cap. I'm guessing you might have a 180t-stat?My car is constantly spewing coolant over my engine bay. That creaking noise could be from swaybar bushings. Mine has addco swaybar with bwoody links and the bushings are constantly "creaking". Greasing all the bushings will quiet it down for a while, but it always comes back. If that's what it is, I wouldn't worry about it.I drove a 2008 tonight with 31k on it and when the dealer backed out of the spot i heard a creaking noise. I heard it once again when he pulled fwd.
