Ok i have budgeted $1500 of my tax return. Help me spend it. I have a 07 red rock. All that is done is its lowered,hids,qa1's and a bb catback.

Just some questions. I imagine its a matter of opinion but what cai?? what catch can?? and why not the trinity?? Sorry i just want ot be happy with my purchase.
I'd say a nitrous kit. It will be your first step to going FI. You'll be hooked with the power ?

Definitely a matter of opinion with the CAI. I didn't want to recommend my personal favorite, the 4" Bwoody; and then have everyone come on and say "no, that one will hydro-lock blah, blah, blah.........."
Billet Technology makes a great catch can.
Nothing wrong with the Trinity, I have one.....most people like to start out with the less expensive predator, and work their way to the Trinity. With the Trinity, the tunes will load faster, you can use it to display guages, and its much easier to datalog with.
Ok as far as the trinity. If thats top of the line id rather buy it and be done rather then buy one and later get another one. Maryland had a deal catch can and trinity for 629. I was looking at that. With all the bells and whistles you can get up to 900 fast. braided lines blah blah. as far as the 4in cai from what ive read to get full potential you need 90 mm tb right?? Sorry for the questions

Remember that you can always sell a predator down the road if you want to upgrade, that's what I did. They hold their value pretty well. If you aren't flashing tunes every other day, or constantly datalogging, the Trinity might be overkill. Just my .02. I used my Predator for 2 years before I upgraded to the Trinity. I waited until it was on sale dirt cheap.
You also have to mount the Trinity somewhere, which can be a PITA.
I think the DiabloSport catch can is made by BT.
No, a 90mm TB is not needed for the 4" CAI. You will still get cooler, denser air, and more of it through the larger filter and tube, as well as lower intake air temps due to the relocated sensor.

get a friggin tuning machine...
saving up a little here and a little there and buying mods haphazardly, you're just wasting your hard earned money. instead, think about how far you want to take it with this truck. what do you want to end up with? stock block + all the boltons, or heads & cam, tb, headers, pully. sc/turbo? or stay na and drop a 426 in? depending on where you want to go with it will determine what items you want to buy today. or maybe you'll decide that the best thing to do for now is to keep saving your pennies.

Have fun and decide where to go performance wise and then search through all the build threads big and small and do all you can at once. It will help save money in the end.....

I agree with what everyone has said minus the predator. Why continue to buy an outdated tuner which can only do nearly 1/4 the amount of functions the new technology can do? Yeah the Trinity is quite a bit more expensive, but spend a bit more on the initial payment and save money down the road instead of having to find a buyer for the predator and etc. Also I believe that the data logging capabilities alone make the Trinity worth the cost.

Plus having a trinity is nice for establishing a rough base 0-60 and 1/4 times. Than you can see how much the mods help in real time (not 100% accurate but you catch my drift)
