So close to pulling the trigger (pun intended) on an M1A now....

Any quality 1911's for under $1k you guys could recommend?

Me, my father, and grand father all have the Ruger sr1911. None of us have ever had a problem and it shoots great and is very accurate. I was going to get a kimber but actually preferred the Ruger after shooting and handling them. Also we roll the steel for ruger and Smith at my work, good possibility I was involved in making the material in my gun

I never really liked Kimber either. Theyíre expensive. My son in law has the Ruger. Itíll do the trick.

Itís all about the MIL/LE pricing. The TACOps also comes with 4 magazines which is a huge plus.
